Its the same with the DLCs. People actually think if they dont buy em the company will include them next time in the main game. NO they simply wont make em. NO Shale, no Kasumi, No LOTSB..

A demo? Really? For GS Employees. Riiiiiiiight. I don't buy it.

Or was it the Facebook game?

Not to whine and complain and curse Bioware, but I'm hardly surprised. What was the point of including that date in Awakening, the secrecy and the "wait and see, you'll be surprised"? 
It looks like they didn't have anything to show and just threw in some random things to appease the angry fans.
But whatever, I don't care. Just swallow my soul already, Zuckerberg.

To post a little out of sequence with how the thread is going right now, I would just like to say how impressed I have been by the Mods' conduct on this thread.
I believe you have handled a volatile situation with level heads and maturity, something occasionally lacking on this forum, (no-one specific, really) by letting the community vent it's frustrations and speculations about matters absolutely beyond your control, without adding (too much) fuel to the fire. Bravo.
To ward off nay-sayers, the whole 'silence means yes' argument doesn't hold water. I'm sure that had someone confirmed or denied the speculation, or locked every thread mentioning it, the furor wouldn't have been diminished.

And the lesson we learn from this? Don't believe anything they say until you see it with your own eyes. Basically, buy the games, play the games, ignore everything else.

Heh if EA decided to charge us to play a demo. They deserve to get pirated.

Maybe the corporate money men might believe this, but the developers darn sure wouldn't; this forum, as small a percentage of the number of users as it is, is proof of the number of people that are interested in the DA games.

Edit: for something to have a noticable effect, people would have to stop buying games at all; boycotting one version over the DRM used would just drive the game off of that platform as the publisher would likely still know there was a market on the others.

20 days to patch together a last minute, unplanned demo seems reasonable.

Indeed. I cannot complain about something we weren't promised (because they didn't promise anything, in fact).
Still, this just proves that EA's marketing department sucks. But we already knew that.

I think youre right with that...but the developers are not the ones giving the money.
They sure can tell EA there opinion...but if sales are poor then they would have a hard time convincing.

the one that is for gamestop employees is for pc only but maybe the demo released on the 23rd is for all platforms. 

Oh well.. It's only like 2 weeks from release so i'll live, but the fact that there isn't more info has me weirded out, iv'e allways been very supportive of bioware but it seems really weird.. I remember how much effort there went into ME 2's marketing
