I think I'd rather just a character creator instead, and then get to play the game from start fresh but, each to their own I guess.

Kinda strange to think that only an American company gets early release demo, though perhaps more have but it hasn't been leaked. Or it could be the whole bazaar thing all over again, fun times.

Also, @upsshorts I'm more partial to tea, and even more so to gallons of energy drinks but then again I'm talking about england so y'know.

Okay people need to stop jumping to conclusions..... yet again...... there have been no reports stating that the demo on the 23rd is PC only, right now the only thing that appears to be PC only is the advanced Demo that Gamestop will get for an evaluation period which is an attempt to boost interest and awareness at said store.

Re the demo. How many people on here want this demo to legitimately decide whether they want to purchase the game or not and how many people just want to get their hands on some content, any content a bit early? Just curious.

I can't play the demo anyways, closet Gamestop to me is like 3hours away, I won't be driving 3hours to & back for a demo. Hopefully they'll have the demo on Steam or something.

The demo would help me decide(previous posters question) odds are, I'll just sit back couple months see how the game fares.  Though Demo could have me purchase game sooner or at all.

EA stupidity at work once again. I can't believe BioWare is starting to play like EA's most trusted "f---- the consumer" developer.  Why? 

With all the recent region-limited DLCs, promotions, the nature of DLC content in general, half-hearted patches... seriously, devs, think about it for a second - you have customers and fans all over the world, not just the USA and Western Europe. Not all of us have GameStop, discounts, return, rent-a-game, online instant support and a plethora of other things. But we do pay the same (or often more).

Seriously, if that demo appears on torrent servers, I'll get it. That's what demo's are for, to get a feeling the game and decide whether to buy it or not. Make a demo and not distribute it, what was EA thinking?

Yes to wanting to decide on purchasing.
I am more then content to keep playing angry birds untill after the release.

I can only speak for myself, but having already preordered the SE 2 months ago, I only want to get my hands on some game content to make the wait for the real thing a bit easier. I hope this satisfies your curiosity. :innocent:

Of course it does, we don't have access to their reasoning or thought process, so evaluating it would be unfair because we're simply left to assume what it is.  Which inherently makes 'I don't like this, Bioware' a more valid complaint than 'This is stupid business.'  In any case I doubt it went down like this:

INT. BIOWARE EDMONTON BREAK ROOM

TIM, a MARKETING PRODUCER walks in to the break room with his COFFEE and has an impromptu business discussion with HORTON, one of the PROJECT DIRECTORS - who is eating a SANDWICH.

Tim: "So hey, um, what's our plan with this demo?" *sips coffee*
Horton:  *chews emphatically for a moment, then talks loudly out of the side of his mouth*  "Well I was thinking about giving Gamestop and perhaps other retailers access to the demo for an exclusive window."

...which basically says nothing regadring the platforms this demo might be released on. IMO PC-only is the most likely.

Fixed again, lets not pour more fuel on the fire, no one here as any knowledge of which platforms it will be released on when the 23rd arrives, we only know it will be released for PC only to Gamestop employees on the 11th.
I'm a PC gamer, but I know how I would have felt if they had been releasing it for XBox only for example, the demo should be released for all platforms, Xbox gamers, PS3 gamers, PC gamers, we all have one thing in common, we're gamers!

Maybe the delayed public release is to give the console makers time enough to certify it for release on the 23rd. I would think Bioware would want that, if possible.

We've been show little to NOTHING of DA2 and for right now a demo is all we have to show for it.



The game is out in a couple weeks, and I'm not buying it till I've seen something more substantial.

IMO guessing what platforms the as-yet-not-officially-confirmed (in the sense that someone with a Bioware tag is talking about it) consumer release demo is going to be available on is premature and entirely speculative. 

You know, similar to the premature speculation that led to 150 page threads that are annoyed something that was never actually promised wasn't delivered. 

Be patient and wait for facts is - IMO - my advice.

Correct, though not everyone can get thier hands on it, many folks like myself don't have a desire to do 3 hour drive to & fro to a game stop(6hrs).  Or there just no gamestop around period(say in another country)

So it's still like, Ha Ha in many folks faces.
