I think thats a press event from recently in Europe- is that German on the little cards next to the PC's? In any event, the environment on the Lothering screen looks nice, but the UI and inventory screen being bunched up towards the middle is still ugly as sin.

you may be right about it being in europe actually. i don't get what you mean by the UI being bunched up towards to middle TBH, and isn't the inventory screen always there?


anyway, i think the UI is set up a bit different on consoles, so that doesn't matter to me much anyway lol.

Definitely from a German site, but how can you read those cards? I've zoomed in as far as I can and all I get is mush.

Good, I'll probably play the demo over and over till the game is out, and if it has different difficulty levels it'll give me some time to experiment with the one I'll be most comfortable to start the game with.

That's not really our call. Several mods have poked their heads in and left it open, so I guess it has reason to remain so.

Just the inventory screen looks to take up the full screen on the PC, yet the active area where you see the gear listed and character is locked down to a smaller boxed in area, leaving a big border of dead space. Thats sort of how it was in Origins too, but thats cause the inventory was visualized as the journal and the border was just an overlay of the paused action in game.

Bioware must know the game is gonna be bad, so they arent messing with a great deal of decent promotion. I hope that isnt the case, but they arent handling the whole thing very well. Maybe they really did Mass Effect 2 the game up, and they know they're gonna take flack from the diehards who dont want the game dumbed down. It just seems to me with only around a month to go, they would have more of a hype machine going.

not the slightest confirmation on that!
The Gamestop employees only get PC demo starting the 11th.
On 23rd it will get published for ALL consumers...makes me assuming they mean all consoles.

Thats my theory right now. I really want DA2 to be good but with under a month to go we barely know anything about the characters and almost nothing about the gameplay except word of mouth from people who work at Bioware.

From what I can gather, at this point people are angry that:
1) There is a demo and Gamestop gets it early
2) There is a demo and customers get it later than Gamestop employees
3) Due to the wording of the demo "announcement", the platforms the demo will be on are unclear
4) Marketing surrounding DA2 is just plain awful
5) Bioware has remained silent on this issue
6) People feel a sense of entitlement
7) Other people have no sense of understanding about the issue


I'm sure there are others, but that seems to be the gist. I'm just thrilled we're actually getting a demo so I'm firmly in the "Bioware marketing folks are stange people indeed" camp.
