I am trying to catch up here.  I would say it's between anger and a bit of hope.  The demo will be out soon?  Is it for all platform?  (still have 2/3 of the thread to read).

From what I can gather, at this point people are angry that:
1) There is a demo and Gamestop gets it early
2) There is a demo and customers get it later than Gamestop employees
3) Due to the wording of the demo "announcement", the platforms the demo will be on are unclear
4) Marketing surrounding DA2 is just plain awful
5) Bioware has remained silent on this issue
6) People feel a sense of entitlement
7) Other people have no sense of understanding about the issue


I'm sure there are others, but that seems to be the gist. I'm just thrilled we're actually getting a demo so I'm firmly in the "Bioware marketing folks are stange people indeed" camp.

Based on that I can make a good guess that people need to shut up and wait for the apparent release of the unconfirmed public to start ****ing. Have reason and information proven that the game is actually good like everything else Bioware has made so now we cry over when we can play it? It's one step forward and a mile backwards.

Yeah, #4 seems to be the one thing every can agree on. They've certainly been employing some....."interesting" marketing tactics, that's for sure.

Oh good. We now have a way to code the anger. In all seriousness, that's a pretty helpful list. Boils everything down to brass tacks.

Agree with everyone on #4, that stunt with 02/01/11 was plain awful, not to mention marketing in general when it comes to DA2.

Why does Jade Empire get thrown in with the rest of those? You may not have liked it but it very well received by the press at the time. I preferred it to ME1.

I guess #4 and #7, I don't feel any anger, in fact it's been quite a joyride, but the approach marketing has taken is quite confusing, anyone who reads this forum would have known in advance what the reactions were going to be like.

Though in seriousness, I wasn't all that furious to begin with, but the announcement of a Demo has calmed what small annoyance I did feel.

It's not a big deal that Gamestop gets the demo first in my opinion.

However, I do hope that the demo is for the consoles too
