From what I can gather, at this point people are angry that:
1) There is a demo and Gamestop gets it early
2) There is a demo and customers get it later than Gamestop employees
3) Due to the wording of the demo "announcement", the platforms the demo will be on are unclear
4) Marketing surrounding DA2 is just plain awful
5) Bioware has remained silent on this issue
6) People feel a sense of entitlement
7) Other people have no sense of understanding about the issue


I'm sure there are others, but that seems to be the gist. I'm just thrilled we're actually getting a demo so I'm firmly in the "Bioware marketing folks are stange people indeed" camp.

I'm in your camp. I would be in the #4 camp but i'm not angry so...
Personally I am convinced that the Marketing department decided to employ angry space koalas and it turned out to be a poor choice.

DA2 probably has the worst marketing of any Bioware game up to date (apart from maybe Nwn2, which was technically Obsidian). I've seen games made by dingy third-party WII game producers having better Marketing than this.

1 month till release and barely anything has officially being confirmed. We don't even know what the female main character sounds like! (Nor Fenris, Bethany, Mama Hawke, Merrill, 'Anders', Viscount and Meredith)

This. But I'm not angry so much as a little frustrated. The situation was handled poorly, with the exception of the posts made by Stan and John.

Although, I had a good share of laughs from this and the previous thread regarding the 2.1.11 demo. It's been a fun ride

I wasn't around for the launch of ME but I thought Jennifer Hale wasn't unveiled until very late either.

As far as I'm concerned enough info has been given to make a decision on pre-order, we know what combat looks like we know the barebones of the story (too much more would be spoileriffic), the VAs for Hawke are the only 2 bits of info that should be revealed well before launch, I have no need to hear the voices of the NPCs.

Not sure how much marketing Bioware need for their games. This is one of the biggest title of the year and from one of the most respected developers. People who play games and visit any gaming site are probably aware the game is coming and a few days of marketing around launch day should be plenty.

This is me in a nutshell. The less information about story and characters the better. Gameplay on the other hand I would personally like to see more of, but I do understand others have a different opinion on the matter.

Because some gamers enjoy metagaming more than actually playing the game...? People are strange like that.

Good point, I wouldn't mind seeing a little more gameplay.  That combat walkthrough they released a while back was good and I'd love see a couple more along those lines.
