I want a character creator. I need to make Barack Obama Hawke now so that I won't have to waste time when I'm playing the game to do so.

My want list:

1) Full access to graphics options on the PC so we can know exactly where we stand and how to tune the options before the game comes out.
2) Gameplay that includes more than the exaggerated portion, but the normal gameplay as well.
3) A demo save that transfers to the full game. I won't use this in any case, but ME2's demo has it, so it should be here too for those who want it.

If only for the sake of principle, right?

Immagine inviata Yeah.  Well, if Mass Effect players get something, Dragon Age players should get it too!

I agree. And as a player of both, I get DOUBLE!

If all this was for a Legends demo...

There are no words. And it will be our own fault for expecting otherwise.

I vote we change the name of this topic to the February 1st conundrum.

I don't think it'll be strictly legends, as I'm in the Beta, and it still has balancing issues (i.e. Mages are WAY underpowered) not many bugs though, so possible

Well, I'd point a finger at EA Norway, Denmark and Finland

There probably won't be a character creator.

Would be nice though. I'm really just interested in seeing a few conversations and get a first-hand idea of whether faster combat feels right to me.

Yeah this. I'm pretty excited about the prospect of taking the dialogue system out for a test drive. Plus I want to really feel how much faster Mage is this time.

This!  And the rogue as well.

Nice!  I saw that feature recently when I played the ME2 beta.  There too, though, I didn't use the feature because I haven't played ME yet.  I want to play ME first, then import to ME2 (maybe ME2 Ultimate if/when it comes out) and then import to ME3.

Go EA sweden, for not even sending out the newsletter in the first place. Yay go us. :(

Oh god.. It just going to be legends? Oh man that going to be so disappointing.

As I've said before, why would the newsletters alude to a demo for DA2 (mentioning the preorder bonuses and all) and then give us an entirely differant game?

Don't think it would make sense.

Me too -  I would love to see how they have optimized the playstyles for the different classes.

Except, I have a DAO playthrough I am doing in February.  My "perfect playthrough," so to speak - make all the decisions that I want to import.  I fear that if they make the DA2 gameplay too fun, I won't want to replay all of DAO for that purpose.

I hope they took out that stupid behidn the back shot the mage does every three hits. Or at least only have it in exagerated. I don't remember what video I saw this in but it was the combat at the beginning of the game (exadgerated)

As an avid ME fan, you should def. stick to this plan. ME2 is MUCH better after playing ME1. Though if you are waiting on ME2 Ultimate, that might be a while as I am not sure that they are done with the DLC yet.

But enough about that as we dont want to get this thread locked as well. I really hope this wasn't all about legends release, because that will make it a sad panda kinda day.

Keep your head's up guys (Those of you looking for a demo tomorrow). It could always be cross company excitement for tomorrow's "announcement". Just because someone on the DA Legends team tweeted that doesn't mean it necessarily means gloom and doom. They could be just stirring the proverbial hype stew.

That would be correct, it's 4.30 am here. But then I found out they got the glorious demo thread locked after a 100 pages and I was all riled up again. <_<

How would a demo be distributed? I mean, even if it doesn't have many areas, wouldn't the core engine and stuff be over a gig?

Better to have been excited than to have spend the internet hours derping about, I say.

I don't know how into Legends I'll get... but it will be neat.  Not as neat as a CC though.

While I agree, let's stay on topic. Mass Effect Forums are over Yonder.

Well I just checked on legends and nothing appears to have changed. No big sign that says, "OPEN TOMORROW"

This is true. On Facebook, DA often touts Mass Effect Products for sale. Wouldn't be too big a stretch for the imagination.

Yeah, I think that is pretty common with Bioware's franchises.

The minimum HD area required for DA2 is 7GB... so how much would they need to package for 20minutes of play time?  A GB?  Less?

With the death of the original demo thread, and now this tweet from the Legends folks, my hope for a demo has nearly been quashed. :(
