I was about to explain, yet again, how you and many others keep jumping the gun and nerd raging over this, when there's no indication anywhere that DA legends going to closed beta (if you'd like to know why, i'd be happy to enlighten you).

Sorry, I'm confused here, just got back from uni. Did the announcement turn out to be about DA: Legends?

no, it didn't. Dragon Age Legends is going from dark beta to closed beta (whatever the difference is). but that's not the announcement.

i say this because
1. it's not on the DA2 site
2. DA:L is just as connected to DA2 as is dead space 2 (as in, play one, get free items for DA2) that's it
3. DA:L is not even made by Bioware (made by EA 2D)
4. (my opinion) it would be retarded for that to be the announcement
and of course
5. there is a demo made (not required to take my word on this one, but i know someone who worked QA on it)

Oddly enough, I was just thinking that it would be funny if both the demo leak and the Legends closed beta rumors were leaked intentionally, just to mess with all of us.

BioWare seemingly has something to announce that they wish to announce on their own time. The fact that something was leaked prematurely is beyond their control. The fact that people took that leaked information and started coming up with every theory imagineable on what it must mean is also beyond their control.

If you want to know about what BioWare wants to announce, wait patiently for the announcement. I imagine altering planned announcements simply because information was leaked early is not part of the business plan. Should it be?

The high expectations people have created over what wasn't much information in the first place is only dooming themselves to massive disappointment, I think.

I can imagine the nerd rage if they were to announce "Okay guys, the big announcement is..... if you buy Fight Night Champion you get boxing glove DLC's for your Hawke, but Crysis 2 and get a nanosuit DLC, and purchase Madden NFL 12 and get an exclusive football bomb for rogue characters....
