This. Plus I wouldn't want them to if they hadn't planned it already. Having a thrown together demo could be very bad for Bioware's rep.....

Awwww I leave for a few hours to watch TV and the thread gets closed.

To topic though to do my part to prevent further closing:
The only two things I really hope to see in a demo are a character creator-as close to the full creator as possible, and some example of different armors/weapons.
The customization is one of the only thing that has been worrying me and so far the statements about the squee inducing number of hair options have been good, but I'm still paranoid that we'll get some horrible thing where the default faces look awesome but all of the customizable ones look like creepy space monkeys...
The armors though I just want to see because the ones that have been shown look so good and I want to see more

Maybe it's because this has dragged on so long.... but right now I have a feeling that any near-future updates will be "Legends" related. If a demo for DA2 is pending (which is still possible--they had to make those banners for SOME reason) it won't be for a while.

Right.

The first beta keys had little fanfare - I didn't even notice them until people mentioned they were playing.  I doubt that more beta keys would be the big event.  Betas are by nature pretty limited in their interest.

You are right. They couldn't have anticipated that. However they could have intended DA 2 to come out then, and then it didn't so they put something in it's place.

You are right. They couldn't have anticipated that. However they could have intended DA 2 to come out then, and then it didn't so they put something in it's place.

If they had said early on that that date was no longer valid, no one would have cared.  They had no reason to suggest that a surprise was coming on that date if they did not still have something planned.

Releasing beta keys for a facebook game? For a date that's been hyped for almost a year?

If they want to live up to expectaions, that won't be the case. They need to do something special.

Hmm good to see you guys made a new one. What I want from a Demo would be the CC and a good chance to play with the dialogue wheel. And FemHawkes voice. The rest is all just gravy.
