It is now clear that 02.01.2011 was originally supposed to be the release date for DA2. Then they delayed it and had to come up with something else for that day. Who knew the announcement would turn out to be so lame?

And I really couldn't care less about a Facebook game.

I'm fairly certain they originally had bigger plans for this date but had to scramble for something since they shot themselves in the foot with that flyer.

I actually disagree.  This, I may actually be able to play if I get a key.  A character update or a blog entry, while interesting, would have been even stupider for a big advertisement campaign.  I still think 2-1 was probably just the originally planned release date.

I've played Legends. While it is okay, the mages are way underpowered and you can't do more than one or two quests in a day. Not a special day. So they don't have any sort of announcement like this for the actual game, but for the closed beta of it, instead of the open beta. Doesn't make sense

A demo has not been denied bottom line, it may have been by the time I post this, in the next 5 minutes or week or never.  We don't know yet.

I've been playing the DA: Legends game for days. This isn't funny at all, if anything, I'm royally annoyed with Bioware, even more than the Bazaar incident. EA too...<_<

They could have just said tha tthe game was delayed a month from the original date, if that were the case.  It might have stirred up some commotion, but one month is not a big delay.

I'm bloody peeved that they let us work ourselves up into thinking there was.

Exactly, I'm an adult and I can handle disappointment, however they deliberately let us get overexcited. That is where I have a problem.<_<

Yes, but the professional thing to do is to own up and say "There will be no big announcement". Or at least clear up that, "On 2/1/11 there will be no demo". If they're going to double-troll us and it turns out there is, well, that's possibly the most unprofessional thing BioWare has ever done.

If they'd just done that, I'd have been disappointed, but only slightly. My trust in BioWare wouldn't have seen a dent. But letting us get so excited? Why do that?
