As much as I'd like for there to be a demo for this game, or an announcement confirming or denying it at least, I find it highly unlikely that we're being toyed with. If they were just pretending to drop the ball and then release something they'd have done it by now. They wouldn't let this much hate build up before doing so.

Face it we're not getting a demo today, just a facebook game.

I am not really mad, but I am disappointed that they couldn't own up to the fact that this date was obviously meant for something they no longer plan to announce/release.

Ive been in the legends testing for over a month now and only played it once, i dont really care about a closed beta for something ive been in.

The growing suspicion that it's only still open because either

Well, weren't they independent when they had that countdown timer end up revealing a bland page with a Dragon Age logo on it a few years back? Mmm, that was hilariously disappointing as well.

They still make great games, but they don't have the best grasp on what and what not to hype evidently.

Well, if you want my honest opinion, BioWare and EA don't really care about letting their fanbase down. That's not intended to be an insult to them - it's just is what it is: they are corporate businesses that care mostly about the money. If they had just owned up to their mistakes (i.e. jumping the gun on the release date or the misleading banners for the recent newsletter), then their stockholders would make our nerdrage look like Christmas morning.

Simply saying "There will be an announcement, but nothing too important" would not affect stocks. Even remotely.

Anti-hype like this? This is a problem. This is when rage becomes so incoherent, people are no longer able to enjoy the announcement.

It's like if Apple had a really big counter on their website, stamped everywhere, a date shipped with their new big product, and when the counter hit zero, they announced they were redesigning ear phones so they were all black. People would be so angry and so disappointed, many would probably not buy the earphones altogether. Certainly some people would lose faith in Apple's word, and refused to hype themselves for the next big annoucement.

Besides that, people would perceive the value of the new earphones as being less. If you are given a bicycle for Christmas, and your parents make it sound like a very expensive new piece equipment, and you end up getting a hand-me-down, it will seem less valuable that what it is, because you expected it to be more valuable.

Disappointed that it's not directly DA 2 related. I'd rather something else other than Closed Beta for DA legends opening. Even a new trailer would have been more welcome. Seriously we haven't gotten much in the way of new info for two weeks for a game coming out in about a month
