Either it's an epic double-troll where they'll reveal that there actually is a demo later today or a terrible attempt to cover up the fact that they miscalculated when DA2 would be released.

How hard would it have been for someone to have quickly popped in here and said, "No demo on Feb 1st"? Why on earth did they let this thread (and the one before it) get so carried away? Did they think it would help 'Legends' in some perverse way? Seriously. They may as well have announced "The announcement is that there IS no announcement" for how much I give a damn about facebook.

He also said we'd have heard Lady Hawke's voice before today if things went according to plan.

This whole thing is like a slap in the face. It couldn't be any more obvious that today was the original release date for DAII and instead of doing something cool like releasing a demo or a really in-depth look at the game to make the flyer meaningful they just rehash something we already knew about from a company that isn't Bioware.
Bioware really has gotten smug and now consistently writes off its fans.

I figured the female hawke voice was more of something that he wanted to do, but the marketing team, or whoever is in charge of releasing info didn't want that to happen.  I'm still holding out a vague hope that something will happen today, even if it's not a demo.  Some character info, a new video, a lore update...something!

I don't see why someone from BioWare couldn't have simply said "There will not be a demo for DA2 released on Tuesday." That kills the speculation for it being today's announcement but also leaves it open for a possible demo closer to March 8.



Mostly, though, I blame myself. If only I had stayed away from this site the last couple days. Oh well.

First part yes agree.

Second part is this isn't a matter of it isn't as huge as it's supposed to be, it's worse than nothing. They have been hyping up a day on which nothing would have been better than "Oh yeah the beta has changed."
