They've kinda-sorta confirmed that she's a companion, sure. I'm reffering to the official pages on the website with screenshots, quotes and a bio that the other confirmed companions have.

Anyway, offtopic. Back to to the circus.

I personally have never seen such shoddy marketing work. Secrecy only works as a lure so long. I think they honestly are just riding on the expectations that those that loved DAO will buy DA2, and that's all.

They are just shooting themselves in the foot by letting the rumors run wild.

It baffles me. It's not professional, and it's certainly not a good business strategy to ****** of your (potential)customers on a regular basis?

Yup, this announcement should have been made in the previous threads that got out of control, I still cannot get it in my head why they would just let it spiral, they have locked a lot of threads where speculation has started to go wild, but they let this continue.

Wow. Somehow, I am not surprised. Putting a leaflet of a date and telling something "special" will happen at that date, but instead announcing that a fb game is closing it's beta, and of course, afterwards pointing out that there's no demo even though there was somesort of leaked info about it.

As if there's not enough salt on the wound. Bravo! Best marketing strategy I have yet seen! Next time I will know not to expect anything from big announcements.

This, I don't need a demo, just show some stuff you have already promised. They have to have some footage ready to broadcast, this would have been THE moment of doing that.

2)  People get excited.
3)  People get Really Excited.
4)  BioWare hops in and says "No, it's not a DA2 demo, it's something else we think you'll like.  Stay tuned!"
5)  Plenty of "awwwwws" people get over it, wait for neat stuff

No one at BW could have say "It's not a demo, it's something else you'll like."

I haven't really followed Legends closely, but it has now gone from a passing interest to "that piece of crap we got instead of a demo."

Disappointed.
