The problem for me is not that there is no demo, it's that they (Gaider especially) allowed this to go on and on without just letting us know "hey guys sorry but there is no demo"....then no-one would have been upset.

But because they just chose to keep quiet and watch this thing unfold knowing that everyone is looking forward to this big Feb 01 surprise and then BAM! nothing.

That just seems cruel and I've lost all respect for Gaider, Laidlaw and all their tails.

You don't treat your fans like this Bioware! Oh wait, no. of course you do!

Perhaps if they had their way, DA Legends would have gone gold by 2.1.11, but the Legends creators couldn't meet the deadline?

That would still count as a non-event in my book. Like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is to Baldur's Gate, or any other spin-off not made by the original creators.

Hmm could've been I would suspect that the game was in development back then.  Still it's, from what I've seen, pretty far away from primetime so they would've been way off with their guesstimate.

It does not take all the way from DA: Awakening release to create a game like DA: Legends, I'm pretty sure at the point the card was made that DA :Legends was at the back of EA2D's and Bioware's mind.

Okay, last time I was here, this thread only had 17 pages, so I went back and read EVERYTHING I missed... And there hasn't been a single explanation yet!

Please, Bioware, I don't care if there's no Demo. Can't you just answer the questions we've been asking since the "Demo Out Now!" banners first appeared?

1) Why were those banners released? Was it a simple misunderstanding between Bioware and EA?

2) Why were those banners so quietly edited? Again, was it to correct a simple misunderstanding?

3) Why was everyone "in the know" so quiet about those mysterious banners? Why couldn't fans get an explanation? Was it because the Devs honestly didn't know what was going on? Or if it's something super-secret, could you at least say, "We can't discuss that right now?"

4) What exactly happened?

PLEASE. All I want is a little clarification. The silence from both Bioware and EA is what has confused me from the start.

What happened was that a decision was made to take presentations to Prague and Taipei. *If* there is a demo, it can’t/won’t be released until those presentations are made.

I doubt Legends even existed when this card was made.

Not having something and saying that is understandable to me at least. Leaked information and no bioware response (making it seem like something important (i.e. a demo) is going to be released) makes it more into a lie than a simple lacking of something. This is what I hate...

If when the first thread opened and someone said, sorry that'a mistake. We have something else planned for Feb 1st, no one would be up in arms (still). We are mad (or at least I am) because they made us think it was the demo so they could tout their FB. The cake is a lie, as you can see.
