I have a couple of questions for Bioware concerning those banners, so I made a seperate thread for them.

The questions:

1) Why were those "Demo Out Now!" banners released? Was it a simple misunderstanding between Bioware and EA?

2)
Why were those banners so quietly edited fifteen hours later? Again,
was it to correct a simple misunderstanding? Why no announcement when
this happened?

3)Why was everyone "in the know" so quiet about those mysterious
banners? Why couldn't fans get an explanation? Was it because the Devs
honestly didn't know what was going on? Or if it's something
super-secret, could you at least say, "We can't discuss that right now?"

4) What exactly happened?

OK the official line is they don't comment on rumours, thats why they didn't deny it, but that strikes me as a stupid where there is some evidence that it was more than just a rumour.

Watch them announce the demo at 11:59 pm tonight...then they would technically still have given us a demo on 2/1/11.

I would be laughing at this thread if this occurs.

I don't believe there will be any demo, something about this whole affair is not right, I think someone at Bioware or EA screwed the pooch and they are unable to deliver.

The same people yelling the loudest right now are the same ones that turned on the hype machine the past couple days about this supposed demo. Nothing but their assumptions and speculations to fuel the machine and now its BioWares fault...

When EA starts the rumor mill, EA or BioWare have some responsibility to handle the damage control.

I fail to see how it counts as a rumour? A EA newsletter specifically said "Demo out now".
