Ergh that's a tough one.  The CC would honestly save me more time in the long run if I have Hawke's looks down from the get go...

But I'm really eager to see the combat changes, LadyHawke VO and the new and improved dialogue wheel...

I think I'd have to have a 'real demo'

I wonder if a CB would be as relevant to 2 as it was to Origins though. It made for a good appetizer partly due to the importance of the origin-possibilities themselves. I mean it would be great to get one but is the marketing team likely to go with that or something more combat specific to go with the emphasis on the combat-style-upgrades.

Conversely there was no seperate CB for the consoles so it would be kinda shadey to do that again since the 02.01.2011 flier came with console versions of awakening too.
(which is also why I'm confident that if there's a demo it'll be for the PC too. Everyone got the flier it's only fair that everyone gets what is teased)

If the choice was between the two, I would definitely opt for a demo, as my biggest concerns are all PC centric, and would likely be alleviated (or confirmed, I suppose), by getting a feel for the changes they've made.

True, we may of suffered some setbacks in the form of thread lockage and DA Legends tweets, but can you imagine the sh*tstorm tomorrow if all this was about some DA Legends Beta Keys???

I definitely want the demo over the character creator (though I'd prefer both of course).  I want to test out the new combat system, try out the new dialogue wheel, and hear femHawke's voice.

And that's my final post for the night (at least for a couple hours).  I need to finish some work before tomorrow!!  Demo talk distracted me all evening, lol.

Yeah, I think if I was marketing this game, I would be saying "Show them the new combat system! Get them excited for the pretty graphics!"

So while I agree that a combat-demo would make more sense, there's a precedent for Charatcer Builders, so it seems slightly more likely to me.

I'll honestly be happy either way, though!

Seriously I'm not meaning to sound like a darn thread nanny, I just don't want anything shut down.

If we get a demo to play I'm going to say about 20-30 minutes at a medium pace.

Agreed. To me anything after the gameplay would be gravy, but the CC would be like triple gravy.
