I'm currently on my second playthrough on Mass Effect 2 and I'm wondering few things. For example how much you need renegade points to stop Tali and Legion fighting. Last time i hadn't enough renegade so i had to take Tali's side. This led to lost of Legions loyalty. Also how much paragon you gain if you send someone to escort Normandys non fighter crew to safety in suicide mission. Can they survive without escort? Also how much renegade does it take to tell Jack to shoot that idiot in his loyalty quest? Same question to that Spectre in Lair of the Shadow Broker, how much does it take to taunt her to let hostage go (allthough I liked when my Shephard wounded the hostage)? Thanks in beforehand.

P.s Im planning to play Mass Effect 2 again with my paragon Shephard. How much paragon you need for things I mentioned before?

The amount of points you need for each speech check is not a consistent figure. It based on percentage of points you have earned vs how many you could have earned up to that point. I’m afraid I don’t know what the percentages actually are for the things you mentioned. I can however answer one of your questions. If you don’t send an escort back with your crew they all die

Basically what Manic Sheep said. In ME2 the difficulty is based on how far along in the game you are, so it is teoretically possible to experience having a full paragon bar and not being able to choose that.

for example in my first playthrough I couldn't handle the Jack and Miranda situation through either the paragon or renegade choice, and my paragon bar was about 75%. In my current paragon playthrough I started with Mirandas and Jacks loyalty missions and could handle the situation with only 40% paragon bar.

Anyway - take a lok at this forum post, I use it to guide me in choosing: http://social.biowar...5/index/2990124

Thanks for answers. Just one more question: How much renegade/money you get if you choose to sell Legion to Cerberus?

50 000 credits and I think it was 20 or so renegade points.

I think there is an additional equation setting off your Renegade vs Paragon points with taking only the difference into account for the final check. Because you can't not solve anything with a full bar wasn't it for this very aspect.

Hi OP, in the spirit of being helpful, here's a Morality Guide for each of the decisions.  It's good for a 2nd playthrough, just to see all the options you might have missed.

http://masseffect.wi..._(Mass_Effect_2)

Regarding the Legion-Tali argument, I had an interesting experience.  I had 100% Renegade with about 50% Paragon (I was playing a mixed alignment "honour among thieves" type of character).  At that argument, I actually failed to get the Renegade option, BUT still had the Paragon option even though that was lower.

In short, the system is kind of weird, but it seems best to get the hard dialogue checks done early:

1. Do Zaeed's loyalty mission early (as soon as you leave Omega) if you want to choose Paragon
2. When going to Ilium, recruit Samara ASAP to unlock her loyalty mission early (as Morinth's check is hard)
3. The +100% Paragon/Renegade point passive upgrade helps a lot IMHO

It isn’t always the same percentage required for paragon or renegade options in speech checks. Tali vs legion is easier solved with paragon, Miranda vs jack is easier to solve with renegade.

I think, you can't wait forever after you have accepted a loyalty mission, if you take too long, you won't be able to get the loyalty success i think.

The back ground of your Shep can change the amount of acruded points for paragon or renegade so that might also factor in paragon renegade diologue options. A spacer ruthless Shep thats paragon might not have paragon options even if you maxed it out.
