The title says it.
With Dragon Age Origins I didn't use the Blood Dragon armour in my first 2 playthroughs.
As for Dragon Age 2...I think I might use all the items I got in my first playthrough. Maybe not Isaac Clarke's armour but that's it.
Will you use your DLC items in your first playthrough?

I didn't use the Blood Dragon armour in any of my Origins playthoughs because it looked completely out of place (and out of space) for my taste. I sold it right away, in Ostagar. I used the Memory Band, Band of Fire and went straight to Honneleath for the helm, dagger, ring, belt and Shale straight after Lothering.
But yeah, of course I will use the SE stuff in my first playthough, you'd have to have strong willpower not to. The mirror is going to be a winner and the weapons, shield, mabari and the shop look fantastic. Absolutely can't wait!

Heh, I plan to use everything at my disposal. I will be playing in Nightmare, after all. Heck, I'm even playing Legends for those items.
EDIT: I would like to point out, though, that I never used the BD Armor at all either - mainly because it looked bizarre. If you take off the helmet then even Ser Isaac's armor looks more in-universe. That said, I assume this may be a tradition of having silly sci-fi-themed armors as DA promotional DLC, which I find kinda entertaining.

Depends on the stats. I usually sell off any of the items I consider overpowered or out of place.

Depends. I might as well sell really out of place stuff like the Blood Dragon armor, so I have a bit of starting money. And use it at least to buy backpacks (if that is needed).

I'm fine with it as long as it has to be found or purchased, or if the bonuses aren't too much, but if I end up with a load of grossly overpowered items in my inventory at the start of the game I'll destroy them.

I shouldn't? Granted, I usually sell the Dragon Blood Armor because it's so, so ugly.

Depends on if I feel they are too overpowered, then I wont, otherwise, sure, why not.

This. The only reason I didn't use it in my first playthrough was because it's hideous.Dhiro wrote...

I plan to use everything I get right away, I see no reason to leave it out, but I especially want the Black Emporium mabari. I hope it works similarly to the DA:O dog out of combat, meaning you can pet it and squeeze it and call it George. <3

depends, if they look to over powered as most of the DLC items have been to date, No not on the first run.

Depends on looks...
If it makes my character look ridiculous (e.g - Blood Dragon Armour) then no. It will get solded off to fund my fashion addiction.

So everyone will use there DLC items? Good, as for Ser Isaac's armour. I'm not sure, maybe only for my rogue.

I'd like it way more if wasn't for the glowing... belt... thing. And the fact that the armor looked just... too big. Even Sten looked small while wearing it.

Why do people keep forgetting that some of the items were sold by a merchant in Origins? Or has it been confirmed not to be the same this time? The more powerful items were given by Bodahn.

I liked it, actually. Except for The Key of the City, most of the powerful items were sold in shops. I remember selling everything like crazy to get Reaper's Vestiment, Andruil's Blessing, Life Bringer and Wintersbreath. In the end I actually had enough money to buy not only that, but the expensive staff in the Tower, too.

Yes, I'll use them ASAP. Especially the Staff or Parthalan sounds (and most likely looks) good for my Mage. I doubt they'll be accessable right from the beginning, though - as in, just in the inventory - but we'll see.

This. I may end up playing a mage solely for it. I would hope there are other available high tier mages staffs that are polearm in form, with blades/glaive's attached.

I used the Blood Dragon Armor in my playthough on my PC or other warrior until I find better looking armors. The BDA is one of the best for the stat, but I don't like it much. I'm planning to use every DLC bonuses. I'm glad we have a sister mage so in my playthough there will be and Hakwe with the staff of their ancestor (if she's a full companion of course
)
