Mass Effect 2 Unity Symbol Flickers

Hey Mass Effect  Folks I'm so deeply sorry to bug you with this Problem but its drives me so crazy atm -.-.

I dont know but ever since i played Overlord  My unity Smybol in the quick launch bar above is flickering and glimming all the time . But its only the Number that is flickering like 6,7 or 8 (the amount of medigels you have) sometimes the number disappears and then theres a lil whole in the Unity Symbol.Sometimes it also crashes
when i click on it but it rather crashes when i try to dag and drop it . BTW If mass effect 2 crashes due to the drop and drag issue the sound goes all crazy like a repeating sound that wont go away till i reboot. (hard to describe the sound sry)

This happened to me once too like when i first played the game(the flicker and the drag and drop issue) a year ago but it was only for one mission and i didnt have that problem anymore.

I hope u can help me with this cuz it really starting to ****** me off furthermore diverting me from the battlefield O_O

My system Specs: Mass Effect 2 v 1.02

OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
CPU: AMD Athlon II x3 440 3Ghz
Display: XFX ATI RADEON HD 5770
MEM: 4GB Crucial DDR3 @1333Mhz RAM
Mobo: Asus M4A88TD-V Evo/USB3
Soundcard: Asus Xonar DS 7.1  (Using 5.1 Sourround Sound)

I jus got remembered that i also have another lil issue, I have noticed that my bitoics are not as strong as they were before , like when i had my older system with a Nvidia 8500 GT and a athlon X2 4400+ CPU

I reember when i used Slam the enemies flew so high in the sky xD and crushed to the ground so hard, now with my new system (i also started a new gamethrough on the new system) they enemies kinda get up and down again so weak :( also when i used pull back then the enmies levitated so ****ing awesome they reached the roofs of high buldings , now they barely can get up from the ground -.-
Does anyone know why this is so?

No one any idea? I played mass effect 2 today also , when i started thanes mission the smybol started flicking again *sighs* I doubt it has to do with a certain mission ... but what could it be?

Not sure about flicking lights...sounds buggy. But...the power ration of your biotics? Seems that has to do with how you've leveled them up. For instance, a low level slam produces a small slam...maxed out creates the effect that you desire. Several locations allow for you to request new squad members, in the game. Sometimes, at these places, I'll take a few minutes to upgrade all of my characters through this feature. Check and make sure Miranda's Slam is leveled up...if you're allowing the game to do it for you, you'll want to alter that in options and turn it off so you can manipulate this yourself.

About the biotics... well i used to have a very low framterate (around 18-25) when i was playing on my old system with a Nvidia 8500 GT maybe the low framerate urged the grafikcard to pull the eniemies higher? LMAO does that makes sense.

My slam is @rank 4 , I have 4/5 Biotic damage upgrades. I am a level 15 Soldier.
I really have no explanation for this.... at my friend house, she has a

Intel pentium D @ 3ghz and a ATI HD 2400 pro graphic card, I used my saves at her comp and see there! the biotics were so friggen awesome xD

when i used my slam in the kasumi mission (in the great hall where donovan huck finally pops up as a hologram) the enemies flew until they crushed on the roof and then fall down again. But on this computer with the same saves the eneimeis barely fly 2 meters lol

maxbe its because of the 1.02 update? i remember that she only has the 1.01 update lol.

in this video you see pull singularity and all that **** so ****ing strong, but i barely even can imagine of that in my gameplay lol.

You never know. Feedback from the graphics does affect the interaction reticle, to the point that people with really low framerates can't play the game because the reticle will not appear for them.

Given your test on your friend's machine, it sounds like you might be right about that.

The thing is that i saw gameplay on youtube with duese having super sexy graphic cards... and their biotics were still much bette than mine...

So ich much more fun on lower cards or what? lool

I had the flickering unity symbol as well. It went away when I turned the resolution down.

hmm chaning the Resolution maybe will hlp something i gotta try it out... but the bitoc **** bugs me so much xD the weird thing is that shockwave is as powerful as it was before.... the enemies fly as high as they did on my old card
when hit by the shockwave

Only time it flickers for me is the mission immediately after re-speccing Shep, and then moving the hotkey for it. 2 missions later, its settled.

I finnaly solved the Problem... I just dragged and dropped another unity Symbol from the HUD menu to the Qickbar and baaam the other Unity Symbol stopped flickering. Since I dont need 2 Unity symbols in the Quickbar I just deleted the new one again and everything's working fine now and no crashes ! :)
