I have sent a lengthy email to EA's support team explaining the situation as best in it's entirety as I could. My personal issue is with AmazonUK, however I included ALL distributors/retailers just to make sure.



I will let you know when I hear back from them. Normally they're pretty speedy.

Well just got another email from them. So it seems Game are giving the codes just with the standard edition even though they got them for the SE as well.

'Glad to hear' that no progress has been made yet. I'll give them some more time to sort out this problem and their will receive one more letter of mine on Thursday or Friday to check the progress. :-)

P.S.I got my last responses about 'no pre-order items for SE' last Friday. Today's Monday so I doubt their would solve this problem at the weekend :-)

Considering that the Signature Edition was only available as an early pre-order, I don't see why BioWare doesn't just make the keys for the SE content add all the pre-order content as well.

Yeah, this is getting slightly retarded now. On one side we have Chris saying Game will be getting the items for both the Standard and Signature Edition and on the other we have Game saying they won't be giving them with the Signature Edition just the Standard version. Whoever "invented" preorder bonuses should just be hanged, drawn and quartered.

Edit: That's what I did, pumpkinman. Although I didn't give them the link to the actual post but I did tell the rest. Seems to me like they made the choice only to give out the bonuses with the Standard edition and forget about the Signature Edition buyers.

Yeah Oppopji, seems like we got screwed for preordering a game before we had any info about preorder bonuses.

This is starting to look like the Origins preorder fiasco with many merchants claiming they weren't giving certain bonuses only for people to find the bonus codes had been put inside the box at the factory and the merchants simply didn't know about it.



And then for many people to find out that certain merchants really weren't taking part.

I contacted Game about this as well & told them that we are supposed to be receiving the pre-order codes as well according to EA/BioWare. I quoted the official site & Christ Priestly (as well as linking to the official site & Chris' post directly). Game still says there are no pre-order bonuses for the SE :/

The more I think about this the more I think that adding all the pre-order items with the SE key is the best solution as this seems to be a problem with all UK retailers & it's only those of us who pre-ordered the SE that are getting screwed out of the pre-order content.

At the moment BioWare/EA pretty much seem to be saying oh well, you didn't order from the EA Store so you miss out.

I do not know of a single retailer here in the uk that is offering the boxed version with the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais when you ordered the SE.

Play only seem to be offering the Amulet of Ashes. Game are saying they're not providing the bonuses with the SE.

So, to recap, where exactly could you get the SE with the bonuses? The EA Store and Direct2Drive.co.uk.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel they are trying to get PC gamers to get the digital download editions?

Giving the pre-order content along with the SE content keys would be the best solution I think as it would allow everyone who pre-ordered the SE to get the content regardless of where they pre-ordered from, including retailers not taking part in the scheme at all. BioWare should add the store-specific content to the SE too IMO - it's not our fault that we didn't know which stores would have which pre-order DLC before the cutoff date, or even that stores would be giving out pre-order content at all. Would make a nice little extra bonus for pre-ordering early & getting the SE too.

Good luck. I honestly think neither BioWare/the retailer are going to resolve this from what we've seen so far.
If they were it should have been done already... I mean it's only a month until the US release, and just over that for us.

Unless BioWare get on and code a function in the BSN so that when an SE code is registered that it unlocks the pre-order bonuses then honestly I think most people that pre-ordered in the UK are going to be out of luck.

Then again I am being skeptical and taking anything Mr. Priestly says with a pinch of salt at the moment (considering he was the one that stated all pre-orders get the bonuses, and the SE includes them in the first place...)

I did quote & link in my first message to them both the official site and Christ Priestly's post (where he explained he'd been in contact with the EU team, who told him all was well regarding Game & pre-order bonuses for the SE). Looks like they just ignored it.

From the looks of things so far it seems there's been a bit of a communications failure between EA and UK retailers, and Game in particular just doesn't seem to care enough to call EA & clarify the situation (surely with all the emails from us they must suspect that something isn't right?).

GAME say there are no pre-order bonuses, and to ask 'why' we don't get them, we should contact BioWare.

BioWare on the other hand are adamant that all pre-orders - standard and signature - get the pre-order content.

Loads of e-mails from GAME saying we don't, multiple posts and replies from BW saying we do. And still no sign of either changing their tune? This is all getting a bit weird...

I'm more inclined to believe Bioware here.. It could be possible that GAME's employees themselves are not fully informed, and only have a passing knowledge of what the deal is about at all.
