They've been awfully quiet in all pre-order related topics actually... more than likely due to the amount of unhappy people in them.

Well those unhappy people could be made happy by them contacting game/amazon or whatever company is the problem and sort this stuff out. Or maybe I am just simplyfying things here.

Sure, some of them could be. Unfortunately though that's not going to be the case for me, as the retailer I ordered from said they are simply not participating in the promotion.

IMHO, as BioWare stated it they would come with all copies of the SE, and they should keep their word on that and provide a system where SE owners can redeem the bonus items - but by the looks of things it seems somewhat unlikely.

BioWare / EA says that Game.co.uk *will* be getting codes, for both regular and Signature Edition pre-orders.

Game.co.uk claim that the pre-order codes are only available with the regular edition of the game, even when given the information on the official site and official comments from BioWare/EA. When asked why, they just tell us to contact EA (and finding the contact details for the relevant division at EA seems to be quite difficult so far).

This situation could very easily be corrected simply by either Game contacting EA, or EA contacting Game to clarify. Unfortunately, Game just doesn't seem to care and so far there has been no indication that BioWare or EA is looking into this or will be taking any action either.

Hurray! There's something new on GAME's front :-)

You may already know that I have sent one more email to GAME. It was quite lengthy, full of links to various posts on this forums etc. and actually it was more a complaint about the current situation than the same question about whether or not their offer pre-order incentives for DA2 SE.

So.... so what? I've just received a reply:

Hi Aurimas,

Thank you for your email.

We have removed all the advertisements for the signature edition off our website, as we have fulfilled the allocation for this game. However this does not affect the preorder bonus and providing you have given us the correct email address you will receive this promotion via email on the release date.

If you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

...name removed...

The Team at GAME

Does that mean everyone will get the codes regardless of living in the UK or not? About damn time.

The whole point of this thread is that they /GAME/ aren't offering pre-order bonuses for DA2 Signature Edition whether you are from the UK or not.

It seems that their have just confirmed it being miscommunication error since they don't update old pages. (Actually, I asked to pass my letter to someone in higher position; not sure if it worked; anyway, I got a different and positive response :-) )

To answer your question, everyone should receive pre-order bonuses if they actually offer them :-) I've received all pre-order bonuses so far.. whether they were sent via e-mail or found in the package with the game. Oh, and I'm not from the UK :)

Well that's a relief.

I assume what happened was that because the Signature Edition page was removed from the site (well, their search engine anyway), they saw no need to update it with info about the content. So when people asked GAME about the issue, all they did was consult their own website, saw that only the Standard Edition mentioned the content, and told us that.

They had actually sent me an email telling me the bonuses were available only for UK residents. D:

Yeah, they mention that pre-order bonuses offer applies to the UK residents only. However, I haven't had any problems yet..

That's excellent news, thanks AuriDUL. I was getting a little worried about whether or not I'd be getting my lovely sword and shield. :P

I received this email from Game yesterday (my last email to them was about a week ago):

Thank you for your email and I apologise for the delayed response. We are currently receiving a large number of customer queries.

Having spoken to our buying team and our marketing team, they have since changed their stance on this issue and confirmed that you were correct and we will be providing the preorder bonus for both the standard edition and the signature edition and you will therefore receive the preorder bonus.

I apologise for any inconvenience and if you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact us.

So if there was still any doubt after AuriDUL's post there shouldn't be any now :)

Wonderful news ;-)

Now I just wish amazon.co.uk "changed their stance on this issue" too to make more people happy :-)

That's fantastic news. Now we really can rest easy. I doubt they'll bother updating the Signature Edition page on their site, but that's understandable given that it no longer shows up on their search feature.

*Final Fantasy victory fanfare* Finally! I asked GAME for conformation after I read AuriDUL's post, and they said I still wouldn't be getting them =/ So hopefully they've sent me another one now correcting their mistake. Thank you, guys...

So wait, I've pre-ordered the signature edition from GAME but I don't live in the UK. Does that mean I won't get the 2 pre-order bonuses? Sounds ridiculous.

Hi. I hope this isn’t too stupid a question but after reading both on this site and elsewhere I am still somewhat confused.

I preordered Dragon Age 2 from Game.co.uk quite some time ago. At the time they were offering Fadeshear and the Orlais shield ad bonus content.

I received the game today and, whilst I do have codes for the emporium, that is all I could find. I read elsewhere that the items would show in my uncles house (Where the game consistently crashes if I speak to my mother) or the emporium. However having eventually reached these places the items are still nowhere to be found.

What is going on?

Have Game just not given out the codes?

Were they only for a special version of the game and Game have sent me a lesser one?
Any help or clarity would be appreciated.

Edit: i do live in the UK if that helps.

You should have received an email going like this :

"Dear Customer,

Thank you for preordering Dragon Age 2 on the PC from GAME.co.uk.

Your unique code is: ####-####-####-####

To access your in-game Fadeshear Sword and Lion of Orlais Shield please follow these steps:

Blah blah blah"

No. Didn’t get that.
Got a message that it had gone down marginally in price (about £1 I think). Another saying that it was being processed and the last one telling me that it was on its way.
