People this isn't even developed by Bioware, it's EA2D.Fatex3 wrote...
facebook... I hope this isn't bioware testing the waters on turning into a Facebook developer. I don't care what items you get, playing a lame arse game on facebook isn't worth it.

Next Big Reveal, Bioware Company Picnic.
No, no. It's obviously going to be the Bioware Trading Card game. I summon Chris Priestly, in attack mode!
Seriously we waited almost a year to find out what was the mystery card date about and now it's revealed to be the beta for Legends. I'm so ecstatic I fell asleep. It was the most anti-climactic thing ever. Worse then when Bioware said there where going to be DLC's until DA2 came out only for us to find out Witch hunt was going to be the last one.

But this might have worked as the big bad Feb 1st announcement if a key had been sent to everyone who registered a copy of Awakenings.
Instead it just sort of seems like mockery.

That's exactly what I'm doing, not playing it. It should be available on the Dragon Ages Legends website though, alot of people don't like using Facebook for security and privacy issues, and some people just don't like it. Also you are not the bearer of bad news, it was quite obvious that I knew it was a facebook game seeing as I was criticising the fact that it was on facebook. My point is there is no need to make it available only on Facebook. There was no need too rant...
The intent was to make a game for the Facebook platform, and the game is designed around Facebook. So why would they make it available elsewhere?

I didn't mean to sound rude or anything like that. If I did, I apologize, but did feel the need to rant. I've seem complaint after complaint on these boards about the game being limited to facebook. While everyone is absolutely entitled to their opinion, it is getting somewhat ridiculous.

And I'm not a programmer so I don't know but if it can easily be set up on
another website available to anyone I don't see the harm in it. Surely the lions share of the work is allready done so it shouldn't cost much and would just spread Dragon Age to an even wider
audience.

In that case sorry for going on the defensive. I can see why you are getting annoyed by people going on about it but just (essentialy) telling everone to STFU or GTFO isn't exactly the best way to get people to stop moaning. Nor does it defend why it is only available on facebook. Again I apologise if I seem angry at you

I can definitely see where you're coming form. I'm not a fan of Facebook games, in fact, this is the first one I've ever played. I am anot a prgrammer either, but it would invovle at least some extra work, servers, ect. for them to add an aditional way to play the game. Keep in mind there are also social apsects of the game play like giving gifts to friends and using them in battle. It would be much harder to pull this off on website dedicated to just the game (I assume). As for a wider audience, you can't get much larger than Facebook these days.
Oh, and sorry everyone for the STFU and GTFO attitude, twas not intended!
