Regardless, her outfit is markedly different. Some posters are stating with a straight face that it's nothing more than a palette swap.

Pay more attention: the pattern on the cloth wrapping has been changed.  The "few vertical lines" are armor plating, and they're not white either.  The material underneath the plating is different from her normal outfit, and they've tweaked her gauntlets and greaves a bit too.  Oh, and of course, they've fiddled with the color scheme.

It's not a jumpsuit.  It's light armor.  What she normally wears is a jumpsuit.

The "cloth wrapping", assuming you mean the hood, looks the same. That solid white with vertical lines (that you call armour) replacing the hexagonal pattern on the chest area is, for all intents and purposes, a colour swap (looking like something made in MS Paint, to be honest). The "gauntlets and greaves" are the same, barring different colours.

You're having a laugh if you think any of that qualifies as "markedly different".

It all looks good to me, regardless of the debate. This'll give me a little extra style while I finish my last three games before ME3 hits the shelves.

That Tali's is "simply" retextured doesn't really bother me. How much variation can you give an environmental suit, really? Grunt's, however, could have been given a bit more attention (arm armor, maybe some Battlemaster details?). Still pretty cool recolor, though.

I don't think they can change Tali's suit that much without making her not looking like a quarian should. Just take two high-quality images of the new outfit and her regular and put them side by side. Then there's a noticeable difference.



It's like complaining about Garrus' suit, which many liked because it fixed his armor.

And they added light armor to Tali's suit, which is what the fans asked for.



If you have a problem with it, fine. It's not like you have to buy it or have to use all three outfits if one of them isn't appealing.

Tali's I do like, but I think its a recolour, but an AWESOME one

Miranda's is a new mesh - look at the neck, legs and shoulders, it has clearly changed shape and gotten a lot bulkier. A retexture playing with the normal maps produces something like Razuk's awesome armoured Miranda mod - it looks like armour, but has the same shape and skintightness - this clearly does not. Either way, it looks great.



Still haven't decided if I'm buying it yet ... I like Tali's very much, but I want to see side pictures of Miranda's to see it in action to make that final decision.

I'm just glad they didn't give them shades. HUD displays I can cope with. If the trend keeps up, hopefully AAP3 will have no eye-wear at all! And then they can release a shades-less AAP1 for extra profit =P.

agreed! I would pay the spare 80 points I have to get rid of Jack's damn visor - I can stand Thane's shades, and Garus' mike isn't THAT awful. That or fully player usable and recolourable Ashley hair would be ideal.

Will buy. But Grunt and Tali are barely changed! I mean WTH? A few extra polygons and we have a new outfit? Just make the game a bit more mod-friendly so we can make addons ourselves, this would be a really nice DLC/Update XD.

I doubt they will do a third alternate appearance pack , it would be nice though.
