ARMOR FOR MIRANDA!

Hells yeah. Now can anyone tell me whether she also has a helmet or whether she's still 'eyepoppingly naked' in space missions?

No, she still only uses a breather. I've had long debates on other forums about the matter and the common conclusion is that she uses biotics to create a contained environment for herself, as does Jack and Samara.

So what about Thane?

No hard feeling but... those helemt thing is the most stupid idea ever:)))
Both - for Shepard (full armor) nad for allies (lack of armor):))

Thane's biotic as well, so it tracks. Engineers could possibly pull it off with shielding, too, so Kasumi isn't necessarily bad. The only one who doesn't work well is Zaeed, and he at least wears a mask that covers his eyes.

However, though I have to admit this is a valid point, I should point out that my side in the argument that spawned this explanation was that Miranda is an idiot for still refusing to wear a helmet.

I don't have a problem with Shep wearing armor. Even as an engineer or an adept, Shep still had N7 training and was a tough-as-nails marine before Eden Prime. Shep's fondness for armor is cultural, just like Garrus or Grunt.

Oh, I need to aswer this - explain, I mean.

Shep must be in armor.
I mentioned full armor for Shep. Just not removable helmets is the problem for me, nothing else. Is it  stupid there are armors for Shep you cant remove the helmet eg. in the bar...:)))))

Oh, you mean Shep's *bonus* armors... Ah, I see. Yeah, always thought that was a little dumb myself, and it's a reason I don't use them much

According to the codex, neither kinetic nor biotic barriers are able to resist heat, cold, gas or vacuum. So biotic/kinetic barriers or not, having exposed skin in a vacuum, on a lava/ice world or in a chlorine-gas atmosphere would be ill advised.

Even if it worked, would it really be a good idea for a biotic to maintain a field around themselves for the duration of a mission knowing that if the stress got to be too great and the field failed they'll be instantly killed when they could just as easily put on a d*mn helmet and not have to worry about it?

That armour is one of the best-looking in the game. Oddly enough it looks very similar to Grunt's loyalty outfit and my Shep's hybrid Kestrel/N7 suit.

Could you point me to which entry that is? I would love to have that to support my argument, but without it I'm forced to accept an otherwise reasonable answer.

From the codex entry on Kinetic Barriers:

Kinetic barriers, commonly called shields, provide protection against most mass accelerator weapons. Whether on starships or a soldier's suit of armor, the basic principle remains the same.

Kinetic barriers are repulsive mass effect fields projected from tiny emitters. These shields safely deflect small objects traveling at rapid velocities. This affords protection from bullets and other dangerous projectiles, but still allows the user to sit down without knocking away their chair.

The shielding afforded by kinetic barriers does not protect against extremes of temperature, toxins, or radiation.

And from the description of the Barrier ability:

Barriers do not protect against physical damage like melee attacks, debris or environmental hazards.

Please explain how you know what a gay krogan looks like.  Seriously:  I got to hear this.

I find it hilarious that this doesn't work on eastern european versions. This has no voice over or anything. And it's not so much "incompatible" as in "won't install if you have a "PL" in the registry instead of an "EN"".

Whatever. Not interested in model swaps at all, and I 'fixed" the game myself to not have this "technical limitation". You better do a better job with ME3.

Ok guys, THIS IS HAPPENING AGAIN:

Note: Alternate Appearance Pack 2 (Tali, Grunt, Miranda) is not
compatible with Polish, Czech or Hungarian versions of Mass Effect 2. We
apologize for any inconvenience.

Does this mean that you are abandoning Polish, Czech and Hungarian versions for good? This is just... it seems we paid for an invalid product. At least you could edit this message to say that the english version is required or something, because it's clear and well known that LotSB and this DLC work well with our "broken" versions of the game.

/Rage off

Seriously, this is getting worse and worse. Even a simple texture-like addon is "uncompatible"?

Btw. I know you've released them a long time ago, it's just I finally entered the site and saw the new DLC:)

'borken' does not mean 'pirate' here. All I have is legal and confirmed by cerberus network.
All you have to do is to make an installator work. And after installation everything  works perfeclty. SO I totally do not understand why AP2 is not compatible with those versions. It is just textures FGS. Use the instalator from AP1 and you can sell AP2 in those regoins without any problems.

PPL in Bioware, are you aware of this? It is your money , after all....
I bought it, bcs I know how to make it work. A lot of ppl don't..... so they just pass... and get angry.

And - I have a lot of BW point left. Waiting here for something I could spend them on :))
I'm not angry on EA POLAND, already give up on them. They do not even worth my comment here...

I'd rather have a new Mission on par with LOSB or maybe more substantial as it would the last major DLC release for ME2. I've beat the game dozens of times. Why come out with new at this point? Why didn't they release these closer in conjunction to the first pack? And what about the rest of the squad? ME3 is a bout to drop in a couple of months and this game has been out for over a year, and they're putting this out now? This only benefits the 3 people that haven't played this game already.

I'm not in Poland but I can't download it. The little PC button under the number of points it costs doesn't appear when I click on 'Download it'. It is quite happy for me to download the others. Any ideas?

Edit: Never mind, accessing it through the game itself works fine.
