I'm hoping soon.
Seeing as I completed all the DLCs and the main story arc before I got this DLC. there darn well better be something to see Miranda's new armor in.

Does the AAP2 show up in your registered game promotions for you?

Yes,the AAP2 does show up in my registered game promotions.
And unless they do something totally wierd, everyone who currently didn't feature in an AAP will get one.
Counting the DLC characters, there's 6 left who didn't get AA yet.
That's enough for 2 packs of 3 each.

Is there any word if all the characters are going to get the alternate appearance pack treatment?

Not that I know of.
I'm simply crunching the numbers and speculating.
But it would be very strange to have one pack of 3 and exclude the last "core squadmember" or have a pack of just 1 squadmember, so I'm assuming the remaining 6 will get outfits.
It would also be bizarre to see squadmates who already featured in the AAPs again, at least until everyone else has at least one AAP each.
And if Legion doesn't get his hole repaired, I'm going to be very cranky.
After all, Garrus got brand new armor without holes in it, so there's a precedent.

Good point about Legion. I would also like to see him repaired.
The only reason I'm wondering if we'll get more appearance packs is that I expect that the DLC will pretty much dry up when ME3 arrives and I don't want to see the rest of the characters left out.
On a slightly related note I wouldn't mind seeing a couple more casual options for Shepard in an appearance pack. The only casual wear I like is the Kasum exclusive suit (at least it suits my version of Shepard). I like the sort of rough Han Solo vest jacket thing as well, but that only works with the default Shepard (and not my version of him).
Not to mention I wouldn't mind an option to take off the helmets for the DLC armour. It's a bit annoying that I've went to the trouble to set up my avatar to have him covered up when I'm talking to someone.

Yes, I'd like to toggle helmets off.
Or on if it was a combat situation.
Although, that only affects Grunt, Garrus and Shepherd, they're the only ones with real helmets in the game.
Or at least, the only ones that can take them off *cough* Tali *cough*
I assume she's giving me a nervous look, she always looks worried when I talk about "helmet toggle".....
I'm speculating that Mass Effect 3 may be a "expansion" in a similar vein to DLC, adding extra locations and mission chains to Mass Effect 2.
If that was the case, all these outfit changes and upgrades actually serve a purpose, if they can be used in Mass Effect 3.
All I know is, I'm going to be extremely cranky if I get to ME3 only to discover my Collector Armor&Weapons, Geth Weapons, Phalanx and Widow are gone, not to mention the amount of research projects I did to maximize their damage!
Would it really make sense to start ME3 as a "blank slate" and have to do all that again?
I expect to hit the ground running and just add extra upgrades/weapons/armor, not build your inventory all over again!

Well... not to be pessimistic, but all you did, upgrades & DLC... was for ME2... when You go into ME3, you start a new game... well, with your old save file... but I doubt every single thing will go over to ME3... they will want to sell you armor and weapons in DLC form for ME3 also...

I wish they would hurry up and get the rest of the team new appearances because I'd like a good amount of time to enjoy them before ME3

I'm shocked that this news got past any of the sites I frequent. Stuff has been slow, so I haven't been on here much. Only to find I've missed this news by like 3 weeks. 0_o

Fixed, this because his helmet is still grey

That's kind of lazy on the part of Bioware. Wouldn't they want the helmet to look like the rest of the armor?
Interestingly enough I don't often take Grunt on missions where his helmet is required any way.

ok, please tell me if this is a good idea... leaving behind weapons for extra ammo. Like im a fan of the soldier, but i never use shotguns or heavy weapons. dont you think you should have the choice to leave them behind for extra ammo?

Damn, I sincerely hope that is not the case!
First and foremost, I want to keep using my signature armor (look to the left!).
Secondly, I have a signature arsenal as well (certain weapons I favor above all others).
It's going to feel extremely strange that all your weapons, upgrades etc vanish with no explanation whatsoever.
Just because I have my ME2 gear doesn't mean I won't buy new weapons for ME3.
My rule is, if it's a gun, buy it!
But the same rule doesn't apply to armor, I pick one armor and stick with it throughout the entire game.
So I'm afraid new armors are wasted on me (unless it's Collector armor!).

Hmm, I just thought of another issue with importing (or not!) of Mass Effect 2 equipment.
For the sake of this debate, I'm assuming most players have finished their Mass Effect playthroughs.
So aside from future DLCs, what point do these Appearance Packs serve?
It's like, okay, here's a new outfit for Miranda or somebody to wear inside the ship, but we have nowhere to go and wear it outside!
It would make sense to port them to Mass Effect 3, so we can actually get some real use out of these Appearance Packs.
I'd love to see a whole game with my Squadmates in Loyalty Outfits or Appearance Packs!
And since they are returning for ME3, this would be a practical idea.
At least, I hope they are returning........
That is, in some form other then an NPC.

I would like to see Legion in full N7 armor, Jacob in a real battle suit instead of the jumpsuit, and Shiera in some Asari Commando or something equally cool

I like these armors, especially Mirandas.
I think an improvement on the armor front for ME3 would be like Shepard, have a casual and combat armor set for each companion. Best of both worlds IMO, tech and biotics can till have lighter armor but its actual armor, and keep the skin tight casual clothes for the Normandy etc.
