And yet, you're not in any way representative of everybody that enjoys the Mass Effect games.
Your "my way or the highway" attitude is almost as ridiculous as your "everybody needs armour" attitude, although not nearly as detrimental to the game.
And yet, are you being any different?
Your "my way or the highway" attitude is almost as ridiculous as your "everybody
doesn't need armour" attitude, although not nearly as detrimental to the game. ( see what I did there? )
Just because
you don't want realistic armour and are happy with the way the characters currently look, doesn't mean that we all are.
If you're happy with the way Miranda and the others look in all their totally impractical and codex defying glory, then more power to you. - You're already sorted and don't need anything more.
However, those of us that
want propper armour would like the choice to put our team mates in something more practical and these packs allow us to do that. ( To an extent ).

Apparently some people are so simple-minded that they literally cannot bring certain squad members along for their lack of armour.
I can only imagine how much distress some of the renegade interupts cause.
That's funny, because apparently some people are so simple-minded that they literally cannot fathom some people like things to feel realistic, and that bits of string and high heels are a slap in the face when the first game in the series did everything it could to promote a sense of realism.
