Do you have any characters you regularly take on the final encounter of the SM? If so, do you do so for gameplay (take the strongest squadmates for example) or do you do so for story purposes - i.e. the characters you fell should be by your Shepard's side at what could be the end.
As for me, I generally take Miranda and Garrus. Miranda not only has warp, but story-wise I feel she should be there (mainly so she can resign Cerberus). And Garrus is not only awesome, but was there at the end of every one of my ME1 playthroughs so he should be here at the end of this one.
So, do you guys have any preference on who you take to face the Reaper-larva?
Who do you take on the SM?

Garrus and Tali - the people I trust most and the ones that helped me take down Saren. If i could take a third it would be definietly Samara.

I send Mordin back to the ship , then I take Tali and Jack with me. Odd things happen sometimes and characters can die in the hold the line bit and those 3 seem to be the ones most at risk.

Miranda or Thane. Warp is invaluable at that point. And the second member is Grunt for overall toughness. Jacob works here too for the Pull/Warp combos and Squad Incendiary Ammo. I've also used Jack for Squad Warp Ammo and Pull/Warp combos but she isn't as tough as Grunt is.

I bring Miranda and Thane along, for both reasons. Story-wise, my Shepard still doesn't trust Miranda 100% at that point, and it makes sense to take her to make sure she won't... Do anything. Just in case. Also, Jack/Miranda confrintation took place almost right before the SM for me so having them both fight together doesn't seem to be the best idea. Plus, Miranda's skills are great in battle. Plus, she's my Shepard's XO. (Also, her resignation. Priceless.) And Thane is there to watch over his Siha, of course, to snipe those who get too close to her, to share the final moment of victory - or, well, defeat. (Also, dramatic 'catch your LI before he/she falls' moment.)
As for Garrus, he's a bro, but for some reason it makes sense (for me, at least) to leave him behind holding the line. 'Right behind you, Shepard' and all that stuff, I guess.

I try, through most of the game, use the characters that appear on the game cover. As I did with Ashley and Garrus in Mass Effect, in Mass Effect 2 I took Miranda and Thane with me for the last battle.
I also sent Mordin to the ship, while everyone else was holding the line. I had no trouble whatsoever dealing with the Human-Reaper, though that was in Veteran. Now I'm doing my Insanity play-through. Wish me luck...!
PD: I just blew Tarak to pieces with the Cain. So cute...

Miranda + Mordin (mostly for their abilities). Garrus leads both fire teams, because I figure he'll be trusted by the rest of the crew more on the whole.

I have played this game too many times to have a set squad. Usually it boils down to their abilities though but sometimes I'll take a character for their story relevance.
Like Miranda to resign from Cerberus, Garrus as fire team leader, and Samara as Biotic shield person.
Honestly I use Samara instead of Jack because I find Jack's dialog on that segment grating and OoC. She just doesn't sound like Jack.
However, sometimes I take people just so I can catch them as they fall and they can hoist me up on the Normandy, usually that would be Tali as she was my LI for most of my playthroughs.

Pretty much this. Except I don't know who I'd pick for a third party member.

I do whatever I did during my first playthrough every single time.
Tali - Vents
Garrus - Fire squad leader
Samara - Seeker swarm
Zaeed - Escort crew back to Normandy
And Miranda and Legion, I take with me everytime.

Miranda and Thane usually. Both have heavy warp so stripping barriers is a breeze. Plus, they often one-shot flying collectors with it. Really feels like you're on an unstoppable rampage through the base.

I like Grunt and Zaeed but then someone always dies..so lately it's been Tali and Legion as the Collectors act like kittens with a ball of yarn with the Drones so I never get shot at.

Usually Miranda and Thane, for their abilities.

Tech/Biotic is variable. Garrus ALWAYS leads the fire team, though, and the Escort is either Tali or Kasumi. Mordin and Jack usually come with me to fight the HR, but I sometimes bring Thane or Samara. For the sake of killing lots of Collectors.
Might do a run with Tali and Garrus for the lulz.

I bring Tali (drone distractions) and either Miranda(Warp, Slam & leaving Cerberus) or Samara (Reave) for the Reaper battle.

I send Tali back as her skillset is fairly useless here imo, and bring whoevever I've been hanging out with the most and Mordin.

I usually go with Tali and Garrus, though last time I went with Jacob and Miranda. With a vanguard Shepard, the three can make a pretty formidable team.

I've liked the Tali, Kasumi combo so I can focus on the boss more.

I always bring Tali so I can get her killed and not have to deal with her in ME3.

Ruin s#*t with Miranda and Thane. Warp is crazy good vs collectors and Thane is a headshot addict with his sniper rifle and shredder ammo.

Miranda and Legion. I love Miranda's weapon squad-wide weapon bonuses and Legion is my favorite sniper.
