This needs to be rectified, if the Reapers are to be stopped

SSV Aconcagua

SSV Elbrus

SSV Everest

SSV Fuji

SSV Kilimanjaro

"Alliance ship types have specific naming conventions. Dreadnoughts are named for great mountains on Earth, while cruisers are named for cities on Earth. Frigates are named for historic battles in Earth's history, and carriers are named after great leaders, artists, and intellectuals from human history. Note that the "SSV" designation is an abbreviation of "Systems Alliance Space Vehicle".

Taken from Wiki, they are not bad to be honest. It's cool they name them after mountains and cities.

Certainly better than naming them after presidents like the US currently does with aircraft carriers. Can you imagine SSV Udina?

Dreadnoughts have the least bad names. Mountains are fairly cool. But still boring - particularly for a class named after the HMS Dreadnought, which is an example of the sort of thing you should be calling your ships.

Frigates being named after battles is just a really bad idea. How would you feel if you were French and got assigned to the Trafalgar?

"Earth is still divided among nation-states", while the oldest human worlds are just over 30 years old.  Nationalities would still be important.

You can't just name any old ship Gotterdammerung, even if it is a dreadnaught. That's gotta be reserved for something like the Death Star.

I was thinking we would call our Reaper that if we kept the Collector Base and used the tech.

Rammstein, Anvil, Napalm Death (ground assault cruiser), Mayhem, Killswitch, Saxon, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Venom.

EW ew ew. These ships are named by the military so straightforward and clean names fit the bill just fine. Mythological figures are already overused TODAY, even more so two hundred years into the future. Personally, I'm fine with the way they are.

As if the Reapers would ****** themselves and run if they hear the ship names.

The SSV Obama wouldn't be a very good name for a flagship now would it?
