I sent a message to thehut already yesterday morning, as I have ordered the SE twice with two online retailers. No answer yet.

For now, there is no french retailer that officially provide preorder items for consoles : no mention of it on their website. The only ways to get them is Steam or EAStore - so, digital copies for PC.

I was wondering about the new play.com pre-order dlc "the amulet of ashes" will the code for it be given to people who pre ordered the SE from them or will it be for people who pre-order the standard edition??

Aye was just off the phone to them they said it applies to newer orders than the SE final pre-order date but then they told me that I might not get my SE so if I dont I'll get the code for the Amulet and the standard edition

I saw that too so I figured I would be alright, but when I got off the phone they said they checked and told me it's not included.  I only called because this thread had me worried.

I'm still holding onto my pre-order and hoping the person over the phone turns out to be wrong.

In the case of Amazon.com, we have their offer clearly saying that the Signature Edition preorders qualify, so we can all write in to complain, quoting their own words, if they don't offer the items.

Good point.  Honestly, I wish that game companies did not do promotions that depended so much on the retailer.  It would have been nice if instead, they could have simply given us the bonuses directly upon demonstrating some kind of proof of purchase.

Yeah, I know the feeling.  I would not of doubted Amazon at all since their page explicitly says that Signature Editions qualify, but the fact that another forum member asked them and they did not respond properly makes me uneasy.

Well hopefully if those of us that pre-ordered the SE gets shafted by Amazon and elsewhere, I am hoping BioWare will have a contingency plan so we can get our additional items.

Some retailers have been updated here in France.

We learned from fnac.com the items will be available to any purchaser of a preordered standard edition.



Maybe this is just a first step.

As seen here for example. The site has been updated this evening. We can guess the retailer didn't know about the preorder items.

I am just a little bit worried about the "preorder of the <i>standard</i> edition of DA2". At least something happened.

My experiences with Amazon have generally been good, and if they do this correctly without me having to give them trouble, then I will continue to patronize them.  If not, for future games GameStop certainly looks good, and a friend of mine works at one of the nearby locations.

He did. Looks like they changed their mind and are trying to blame it on the retailers now though.

BioWare's EU marketing department are obviously doing a fantastic job of informing retailers of these promotions, sounds like Amazon UK didn't even know about it and the French retailer Fnac only updated their website yesterday.

Oh, and Amazon.co.uk are still listed on the pre-order retailers on the EU Dragon Age website despite the fact that they are not offering pre-order items.

So the question is why not? Its quite possible the guy who answered your message just looked at a list to see if they were registered for it, and elsewhere (higher up in the system) it's quite possible there's someone sitting there who doesn't even know that there's a list that they should be registered on to get those items. Eg. AmazonUK and Fnac etc.

- You will get all the stuff from the Signature Edition! AND

They mention that original purchasers (i.e. if you pre-ordered DA2:SigEd) then you will also get these items... just to reiterate that point ^^.

Though GAME.co.uk have a 'different version' of DA2 up for pre-order, those are the terms that the DA2 webby have mentioned clearly. If you pre-ordered the SE before 12th Jan 2011, you'll also get the LOS/FS items.
