Texture quality for ME1 on the PC was good, with the exception of a few buggy ones (Garus' face), the textures on the PC were better than what was on the consoles.

Me2, however, was a different story. Many of the textures are horribly pixelated due to their low resolution. We understand that the consoles can't handle high resolution textures, but please Bio, don't leave us PC gamers, your fans for well over a decade now, hanging again.

The ME engine is not easy to mod for, and we're left with hacks to improve our textures and bring them up to snuff with other titles on the PC.

The textures on Me2 looked really bad, specially given that most PC gamers render their games at resolutions above 720p.

So I'm begging you, please include some higher resolution textures in the final chapter of ME. We're not asking for much, many indie games with not a 10th of your resources have done some great texture work for PC games, I know you guys can do this for us!

Hmmmm, I didn't really notice anything game-breaking in terms of texture resolution on the PC.....

Then again, I was a console player first, which may as well be a second class citizen from the sounds of it.

Have you seen the before and after of the Tali texture mod? The difference is night and day. That's closer to what e textures should look like.

Yeah, better textures (and some sort of built-in texture swapper) would be much appreciated. I didn't max out my PC for nothing! I wanna make good use of my hardware.

Might I add, better quality pre-rendered cutscenes that aren't as compressed and suffering from artifacting as a result.

as long as my mediocre computer can still handle it, I'm all for it (in other words, live an option for lower resolution available)

Better textures: good.

Giving PC users option to turn high-res OFF: better.

I know they usually cover this, but I can BARELY run ME2 and can't afford a new comp by the time ME3 rolls around.

The PC version is still the best damn looking version of all three platforms. ME2 on PC looks better than ME2 on PS3 with ME3 engine.

I'm lucky enough to have a computer that can handle high-res graphics, so I'm all for it in ME3--but as someone who recently came from a much older computer with lower specs, I also say that there needs to be options to turn the graphics down.

That looks worse than it should, I don't think they're always that bad. I'm sure it looks better on the 360, at least.

Let us start with mouse sensitivity and work from there.

And continue on with making the PC version open, instead of locking us into recruiting members/doing missions in a certain order just because of console disk swapping problems.

And cutscenes that don't contain that mystical Assault Rifle!

Come over and play it at my place, I just bought a brand new rig.

i5 2500, GTX 560 video card. It eats Crysis and Metro 2033 for breakfast. I'm pulling >110 fps average in Batman: Arkham Asylum too.

Personally i dont care.Do it or dont.It would be nice, but i dont play ME for graphics.

Seeing as how it runs on an outdated engine, texture resolution emulates that of Kotor, and on anything higher than 1280x720,the color and textures looks washed out and fussy.Always like pushing games to their highest visual quality, but ME was always about artistic fidelity.

Everything just looks good, and it would still look good on a 5 year old engine. The stylistic clean approach to everything,is just that refreshing.

Honestly at this point,OP,you should be more worried about what they'll turn the story and gameplay into.Cause i personally have no idea, what ME3 will be atm.

uh, yeah, hate to break it to you but textures on ME1 were the same from console>pc, as was the case with me2 - the engine natively renders at 720P.

Couldn't agree more.

Also, please add proper PC user interface. For some reason, ME2 does not have hotkeys for weapon selection, journal, squad etc.

Why? ME1 had them all.

I would pay a little extra for ME3 with the extra meat put into the graphics. Maybe the uber edition for pc could go the extra mile and give us graphics options in line with what our hardware can do.

I have a Phenom II x 4 @3.2Ghz, 8Gb Ram and and Asus HD 6870. LO-Res textures in my favorite games makes me a sad boyo.

This thread pretty much summarizes my sig. I've just beaten KotOR 2 by Obsidian and some textures in that game look better than some ME2 textures.

I'm still hoping they're gonna release a menu hotkey patch for ME2.

Hard to say, when the graphics is good enough. Of course we all wanna see photo realistic graphics someday.

Mass Effect is how ever very visual cinematic game, so graphics has it's meaning. Even if players don't allways play for graphics, it is still one more thing what creates impressions of real "live" world. I don't usually care if the graphics textures are not top in line, because as long it does the job I'm usually fine. Only big issue what I have had was in Kotor 2, those scenes graphics qualities was really bad.

So, I think Bioware has to find balance between smooth gameplay and good quality graphics.
