The story is the 'epic conclusion' to the story started in Mass Effect and continued in Mass Effect 2, as well as the conclusion of Commander Shepard's story.

So my question here is... how do YOU think ME 3 will end? Ofcourse everything depends on your decisions through out the game, but do you think there's a possibility that Shepard dies in a huge explosion saving the galaxy or will he retire and live happily ever after with his love intrest? Do you think there will be some sort of epilogue telling, depending on your choices, how Shepard lived and died?

I know you've not been here long friend, but "how will ME3 end" has been done to death a million times. If you use the search, you'll find all the replies to this question you'll ever need. :)

Conrad Verner accidentally, yet successfully, deactivating the Reaper's network hub hidden deep inside Uranus.

Sacrifice? Sounds cliche, but...

Well even if there are lots of threads, always nice to share some insight. I think Bioware will give us the freedom of choosing between dying in a huge explosion and a happily ever after with Shep's LI. That way they wouldn't anger fans who support pairings.

How about we not talk about the end. Topics like this are really irritating. All it does is make a false picture of what the ending will be and people WILL make that the ending in their mind only to realize that it's not the ending. Then you know what they'll do? QQ All over these forums. Cut it out.

I feel sacrifice should be a no. Martyrdom has no place in games, i only did it once in DA. (i'm a sucker for archievments) It should stay part of myths and legends or religions.

The end should have shepard victorious standing on a pile of his dead enemies, his LI on his arm and a beer in the other hand.

Well, we had the fake dead after the battle for the Citadel in ME1, and the "real" dead at the beginning of ME2, plus the Suicide Mission... I guess Shep' had dealt enough with the Grim Reaper... let's face the other reaps without necessairly diying or lefting his/her LI diyng at his/her place. As Mesina said, the important thing is epicness. Not tragedy.

Universe implodes.

Everything just ends, then your console/PC rig just breaks down.

Hard to guess where Bioware will go with the ending, but I hope there is a heroic sacrifice ending. I prefer that Shepard dies at the end of ME3.

Also I think with a heroic sacrifice ending it SHOULD NOT come about as the result of skipping content (upgrades, or squad mate loyalty missions) or as the result of making bad tactical decisions. You should get that ending after doing everything possible to make sure your crew has the best chance of making it out, and as a result of making the correct tactical decisions. Shepard's death isn't heroic if it comes about as a result of tactical blunders.

No Dragon Age ending for me thnx. I plan to live to tell about it. And Conrad Verner IS the key to destroying the Reapers.

I wouldn't be surprised if it ends in entirely generic fashion. Mass Effect isn't known exactly for thinking outside the box.

Could you please stop posting hidden youtube videos? It's really annoying.

Oh I know. One of Shepards squadmembers sacrifices themself to save Shepard and the galaxy, and then Shepard gets a child with his/her LI and they name the child after the one who died (soap opera)

An alarm clock rings, a teenage shepard wakes up in the present, says "man that was weird, I've got to stop playing games before bed!"

then sits up, turns on his Xbox (PC, PS3, what have you) and begins playing mass effect.

IT NEVER ENDS!!!
