There's so many forums now where people are saying what they're not happy with, what they're not looking forward too. I would like this to be a thread where people can discuss what they're looking forward to seeing in Dragon Age 2! Whether it's the combat style, visual aspects, the different story style or anything! Let's get the excitement up even higher for one of the most anticipated and awesomest looking RPGs of the year! And get away from the ridiculous negativety.
Personally I'm looking forward to seeing Flemeth again. Does anyone know how big of a roll she has?
Discuss away!

Ponytail cameo.

Other than that, the story and the improved combat system.

Finding out why Hawke doesn't just bugger off back to Ferelden when the fifth blight ends, i'm guessing that's got to be something good and the story in general.

Don't really give a crap for all the battles and such, but I realise I have to eat my combat greens to get to my plump juicy story meat and character crafting pudding.

Ooh me dinners ready.

The story is definitely another aspect I'm looking forward. Other than the fact that the protaganist is fully voiced, it's much more personal and has more depth. The family of Hawke is more involved and the fact that you are this champion of kirkwall, but how did that happen? I also like the fact that it takes place over a longer period of time and that your companions have their own lives so to speak and don't tail you wherever you go.

My rogue not doing a poor tap-dance in the back while everyone else gets into position to fight.

The story.

"Meeting" the characters and finding out what makes them tick.

Friendship/rivalry.

Checking out the new art direction for real and not just from screenshots or videos ( which I find not as good as actually getting inside and seeing it for myself).

I like that they are taking chances, it either works, or it doesn't ( in piece or part) but at least it shows they are trying to improve the game experience for all of us and listening to the feedback from DA:O (which by association likely means they will do the same for feedback from DA2). Evolution and progress demand careful but deliberate change. I am cautiously optimistic :) Can't wait to give it all a try! Looks like good fun!

- The experience of going from nothing to something

- I like that this all takes place in one city. A different take instead of traipsing all over the place.

- Political intrigue. I'm personally very naive when it comes to this kind of thing so I know I'll be thrown for a loop when the decisions I make that I think are right turn out to have dire concequences.

- Romances!! I'm such a romantic sap that, honestly, if this game didn't have romances I wouldn't be nearly as excited about it.

I am another sucker for romanceImage IPB. Definitely can't wait to see what romance opportunities Bioware has created for DA 2! We know about Isabella and another female I think, but has anything been released about the male romance options?
Romance adds a more real feel to games in my opinion and draws me in even deeper.

Nothing official has been said, unfortunately.  But I think it's highly probable that at least Fenris will be a romantic option for us ladies.  There is speculation that Sebastian may not be because he's a DLC party member, but I personally think he will be (he's way too cute not to be).  There is another male mage, I think, that hasn't been released which many people (including myself) think is Anders from Awakening.  Regardless of who he is, I think he's probably the third option.

The rivalry system. Getting more done in a city than in temples. New companions to meet and new lore to read.

- The upgraded combat system, first and foremost.

- Kirkwall itself. I hope it manages to become a character in it's own right.

- A voiced protagonist.

New characters, because as far as I'm concerned BioWare has never disappointed me on that score. (There are individual NPCs I don't like across their body of work, but on the whole they're great.) And to go with them, the friendship/rivalry system!

Having an immediate family and seeing how the relationships with them affect the story.

Checking out the new Friendship/Rivalry system.

Getting to know the companions.

And having longer hair. (yes, I'm just crazy like that!)

The romances and family story lines. It's unusual that you'll get to relate to a family, so that's one thing I'm interested to see implemented.

More than anything else, I'm looking forward to seeing Alistair again, either as king, which would be fun, or as an exile, which I really hope leads to improving his life in some way. I know it won't be huge. I think S.V. only recorded something like 50 lines, and if Alistair shows up in more than one incarnation, that would mean each of them would be quite short, but that's what I'm looking forward to the most. After that, I'm looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds and the lore it creates.

Has it been confirmed that Alistair will appear in DA2?
