Bioware reps, can we please get an update on the current status of the patch? We've been asking in the "patch notes" post, but I figured I'd be more likely to get an answer by creating a new topic.

The game itself is simply amazing, logged almost 30 hours so far, but I'm filled with dread the entire time thinking I'm going to lose everything because of a corrupted save. This despite taking all the recommended precautions like quitting every couple hours and backing up my save to a USB stick.

Any update you can provide would be greatly appreciated by all your fans. Thanks!

agreed, c'mon Bioware! Pretty please with a cherry on top.

And while you're at it, will the patch require us to start a new game to take effect? I hope not.

I thought the patch was finished last friday and got handed over to Sony for verification? If so, bioware can do nothing to speed up the verification process or even tell us when it's due for release.

I've got to admit, although I really respect bioware and the great games they make, I would like some sort of update on the status of the patch. I just feel like my experience is of playing mass effect 2 is being dented a bit because icant just relax and play it without having the though of it crashing and corrupting on me.

We have received no verification that the patch was handed over to Sony. That's what we're really eager to hear - if the patch is done and we're just waiting on Sony, then fine. If it's not done and hasn't been handed over to Sony, then that's fine too.

We'd just like to know what's going on.

The PS store will update tomorrow (Killzone 3 open beta :)), we may see the patch then. Fingers crossed.

I can't say I fear the save corruption bug (96 hours save, froze Twice in the entire time I've played it, PS3 was running constantly 4 of those 5 days with nothing but ME2 played) but the little fixes like that photo in the cabin i'm looking forward to. ah well, here's to hope.

Hope that, unlike two recent games I've played (Non-bioware... naming no names, you can guess), the patch that arrives doesn't mess anything up as a side-effect... until the promised patch appears though, I'll be trying a play-through as Soldier this time not Infiltrator. and with more Renegade choices.

I'm pretty sure that the PStore updates today in Europe, and patch releases, to my knowledge, haven't got anything to do with PStore updates.

I do think that Bioware should give us an update on this patch because the waiting is simply agonising now.

I must say I agree, I don't mind if there's been a delay, but not telling us anything isn't a good idea.  I also would like it if they'd weigh in on our suggestions of using normal PS3 save files or some multiple file system to make corruption less of an issue in the future.

I read something about Bioware saying it was going to be sent to Sony by Friday as just being crowd control. I doubted it at first but im getting closer to believing it every day -.-

Well, if that is true, they may wanna note a more honest approach would be much appreciated.  If it's not, then they should probably just tell us what's going on already.

A possible explanation is that the Austin Branch handles patches (half of Texas is shut down because of a cold snap right now) , but what branch handles what is hard to track.  Hmm, either way, I guess we have no choice but to wait for now.

Also, is there any word on the issue some of us are having where our redemption codes aren't being accepted?

Good luck getting an answer to that, Chris Prestley and co have been posting right here on the bioware social network, just not in this forum. They're ignoring us.

Disappointing, as the game is now a week old (here in Australia anyway) and I still cant get any of the free content. Feel quite sour about it, as the comic was actually one of the things that drew me in. Now I'm stuck playing through with only the vanilla choices, which is crap since I know thats not how my games ended.

You probably have an import title, you should search the forum here to find your answer which I answered 10 days ago...

That may be the case, but I feel it should be a local copy, as I bought it from a store here.I'll check it out though.
