I honestly thought I'd lose Garrus' loyalty if I didn't let him pop Sidonis in the head, after all the talks I had with Garrus about revenge and stuff.
Was quite surprised.
Just want to Double-Check on this one...I'm playing a Paragon on my second playthrough, but I would not want to lose Garrus' Loyalty for any reason...can I get a Second on this?
Was interesing when I was able to talk Zaheed into Loyalty with the Paragon discussion option even though we saved everyone.

I've never failed Thane and Samara's. Is there any special dialogue?
Thane's been covered, but that's a "Yes" for Samara too. You have another talk inside the club and she's not best pleased that Morinth didn't take the Shep-bait.

So very depressing.
Is there a video like that for Samara as well?
And thanks for finding that, even though it's extremely sad

Well, what do you expect when you send a Renegade in? To be charming?
Failing to charm Morinth is renegade?

I haven't been able to find such a video for Samara. Sorry. Maybe someone else can dig it up.Ramirez Wolfen wrote...

I know there is special dialogue for failing Samara's mission, though.

I tried for two hours to lose Garrus' loyalty, and yet still complete his mission. It just can't be done. Even the choice of stopping Garrus from the assassination, and then not talking to him about it like a friend would, still yeilded the result of Loyalty. It was frustrating for me, but is great news for you.

I failed it as well this playthrough. On purpose. Samara was quite pissed. It is fairly easy to lose her loyalty. Attract Morinth's attention and then bring up topics that upset her (family, Justicars) or don't pick the choices she likes with her specialized topcs (for Music, for example, don't select the band she specifically likes.) She walked away after three selections.

Which says a lot about me: I utterly missed him the first time. Kept focusing on the target too much.

After all the work I put in on my ME1 paragon characters, I was dismayed at how far I had to go to convince Garrus it was ok not to pop the guy in the head. For renegade ME1 continuity, I agree with you though.

Not really. But a Renegade failing to be charming shouldn't be that hard to believe. :happy:Lizardviking wrote...

You can fail Tali's...giving data to the fleet
Thanes... by taking too much time tracking Kolyat
Zaeed... by saving civilians and not using charm to calm Zaeed down at the end...if done post-SM Zaeed can even be killed provided you have another squadmate to finish the mission with.
Samara... by failing to get Morinth to leave the bar with you.
while not a failed mission... you can lose loyalty between Miranda-Jack and Legion-Tali with lack of paragon and renegade
