Hi. Blackrazor would have been in my opinion the best longsword(well, black blade is better), but its haste effect screws up whirlwind and imp haste pretty badly. It overrides previous increase-apr effects and sets lower apr then you should actually have. APR drops from 10 to 6 in whirlwind and from 9 to 5 in imp haste i think. Thats so sad this bug ruins the best of longswords. Is there any way to fix it?

Use Near Infinity (or similar editor) to edit the MISCBC.ITM file to remove the haste effect from the melee ability.
Once you have that item highlighed, it will show up on the right hand side. there will be one thing listed under "Abilities": Melee(1). double-click on it and another screen will pop up. On that other screen there will be two tabs - view and edit. select the edit tab. On the edit tab, scroll down to the bottom and you'll see all the effects listed there (I see 8 effects). Highlight the effect that starts "Effect: Haste (16)" and click "remove" down at the bottom. then escape out of that pop up to go back to the main screen. on the left, select any other item and a pop up will ask you if you want to save or discard your changes. save them. voila, no more haste.

Alternatively, for extra OP, you can change the value of parameter2 of the haste effect (NI calls it "Haste type") to 1 and Blackrazor will grant improved haste instead.

I 'm fixing this within IR V3, though it's more a workaround than a true fix, as I replaced haste opcode with equivalent effects (+9 movement rate and +1 apr). The end result is nearly identical (except minor differences such as not getting 2x regeneration), but it won't mess with other haste sources such as Improved Haste or Whirlwind Attack.mad cat from hell wrote...

Wow thx im impressed it actually worked. i removed haste. Was very tempting to make imp haste but a) mages shud be buffing it;
i couldnt figure out how its done :-).
Is there any way to fix whirlwind + belm/kundane apr bug? you know the fact that belm +1 apr overrides 10 apr of whirlwind.
