When i Play BG2, one 2h weapon i love giving my fighters (pally usually getting second best weap carmosyr +5) is the Githyanki Silver sword with the death chance.

I love how it can kill a dragon in one hit, because of the moderate chance and high save needed, quite fun... unless u are in TOB final battle cos many of those badies keeping dodging annoying me... that yxunomei's twin sister thing is annoying, as well as that fallen solar.

Who else loves wreaking havok with this tool? Image IPB
And how would you go about maximising this weapon's potential?

Ditto. One of my memorable moments was when my Berserker felled Firkraag on the first hit, before he even went hostile.

I had one of my funniest BG2 moments ever wielding that sword. It was detailed in another thread here. Its vorpal effect can kick in even when a target is otherwise immune. I usually trade it up later for Gram or the Ravager depending on my character's proficiency's though. The latter in particular has all the Silver Sword's perks with better bonuses.

My favourite BG saga run through is still a pally (cavalier) wielding Carsomyr (check out my BSN name...) but yeah the vorpal was awesome too. Love the death animation with it too- much better than simple chunking or what have you.

Me too, Whenever playing single player mode (sometimes i go MP and make my on parties - bit naughty really (but mainly because existant NPCS are not the nice classes - Sorcerer, Undead Hunter, Swashbucker, Wild Mage, Avenger (mwahaha), Kensai... etc)) i like to get Keldorn and Minsc to use both 2H weapons.

Carmosyr owns mages and evil and the death sword just is awesome. (Cromm Fayr seems to help, but the clerics i have usually have inadequete strengh, i give them mace of disruption - low hit chance and vorpal vs undead)

Sworded cleric - HEAVEN!

Also any mod which allows a paladin/mage... sounds odd but i really want one... i started one in IWDII and... due to my rubbish machine i cannot get past kuldahar without it crashing. Image IPB

Interesting mix between arcane and holy divine-aura-ness... hehe.

Then again a mage with carmosyr may be a little overpowered but... what is firkraag gonna do?

Giving my cleric sword of gith would be fun... maybe give it to aerie. Image IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPB
Quite fun really.

There are no multi- or dualclass paladins. The engine doesn't allow it.

You could simulate it though. What about creating a FMC and editing Carsomyr (with Near Infinity) so it can be used by FMCs? (or simply adding UAI to the FMC)
