I completed Soldier's Peak content and unlocked the chest. I stored the Juggernaut gear there with the intent that I would equip it when I met the requirements. Well I was at 36 str and just got the Key to the City in Orzammar so I decided I would go grab the armor. When I got to the map both Soldier's Peak and Honnleath were missing. I quit the game and made sure I was logged in. When I resumed again Honnleath had reappeared, but Soldier's Peak is still missing.
Things I have tried:
Log out, uncheck DLC, exit game, log in and check DLC then resume. Same story.
Delete folder dao_prc_nrx_1 and redownload Warden's Peak. Same story.
The thing is that when I resume I get this message: "New Quest: Soldier's Peak", but when I check the quest info it marks it all off as completed. I still don't have the map marker! How can I get back?
Soldier's Peak Map Marker has disappeared

My soldier's peak map icon is gone as well. I got the quest, the map marker was there a few times and then it just vanished. I was about to head over because I want to see the story behind the Wardens but there's nowhere to click any more.
I had hoped 1.01b would fix it but no luck. I've reinstalled the game, re-downloaded all my DLC with no change at all. I must say, having paid extra for this and not being able to use it (especially considering the limited inventory space) I am extremely unimpressed.
Generally the game is great and it's a shame this irritation taints it so.
Did you end up finding a solution? By the look of it, this is a fairly wide-spread problem.

I never found any solution to this. I submitted an EA support ticket after I made this post and I had an automated response telling me that I would have an answer within 24 hours. Well 9 days later and I'm still waiting for their answer.
Actually I just gave up on this. I did end up beating the game without all of the goodies I had stored in the chest. I'm playing through again and I am making sure to avoid this area for now.

I have problems with this area as well. I managed to complete the area. And some time later... Now the guy is back at the camp with quest to go to the area. But only says "download the content first". I cant get back to the area either that I have previously already finished... It disappeared from map.

I deleted all folders from "C:\\\\Users\\\\User\\\\Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\AddIns"
Started/restarted
the DragonAge update service from "services.msc". Now Re-downloading
all the content. Will see if this helps at all.
And to
above posters problem. I have the same one. If I click on Shale the
game gets screwed up, have to reload last save to continue.
Edit: Nah didnt work

Also installing enhanced Shale textures from the modding community seems to have solved that weird talk to shale/graphics/texture issue also

I am running into the same issue. My hero was left standing naked without the warden set I had taken off Sophia, Morrigan lost the kick ass staff we found there, not to mention all of the items I stored in that chest thinking they would be safe are now all gone! If there was ever such a thing as a JIP this is IT! Way to hurt an otherwise awesome game, BIOWARE. Please in the future do not add in ADDINs if they are going to ruin the rest of the story. ARGGHHH! Please Fix this and if anyone finds a fix let me know.

Thanks TallBearNC, entering the repaired warden's peak worked like a charm.

Thanks for updating us on the response. Looks like the money I spent on the Add In was a TOTAL LOSS.
