when will some of the more hardcore fans get over the fact that most likely you won't play as the warden ever again?

Those choices are just too diverse and story-altering to write a solid sequel on it, unless, of course, they decide to make certain choices canon. However, that would probably just upset a lot of other people who made different choices.
So, as much as I love playing the Warden and spawn a super awesome Old God baby, my guess is no. And you know what? I'm fine with it, because what if they decide to make choices I personally would not want to see as canon, such as the Warden dying while killing the Archdemon or, God forbid, Loghain getting all the glory?
Nah, my guess is that we'll never play as/see the Warden again, just references. Like Revan in Kotor 2.

You and me both. Actually, I was encouraging them to dump Shep for ME2. The resurrection of space Jesus did not go over well with yours truly. Hence why there's no red 2 under my name.

What about my dead Warden? Or my Warden that doesn't care about Morrigan? Or my Warden that stabbed Morrigan? Or my Warden that let Morrigan go and said he wouldn't chase her? How about my Warden in Antiva with Zevran or the one in Denerim with Leliana?

To be honest, I seem to see alot more threads like this one, asking when will people get over the Warden, than I do about people wanting to play as the Warden.
There is the occasional thread discussing the possibility of a Warden cameo or the like in a civil manner, but very few demanding to play as the Warden in DA2.

Likewise, mostly anyway.
I would have been happy to see a final DLC covering a potential ending for the Warden where they recieve their Calling, other than that I never really saw them coming back for another game. Witch Hunt has confused things somewhat, as the Warden can potentially go off with Morrigan, so I could see Bioware working out a way to bring our Warden's back for a plot based around Morrigan and Flemeth - but then there would be so many different conflicting decisions to import from Origins (and possible DA2) that it doesn't seem feasible to me.
At the end of the day I'm happy just using my imagination to wonder where the Warden went afterwards, and it's actually quite refreshing in today's age of direct sequels and character franchises to see a character save the day and walk off into the sunset (or sacrifice themselves etc.).

The ogb plot to me is part of morrigans story now which would be cool if continued in later games. But for now I'm more interested in hawkes story and seeing what unravels.
If we did play as a warden again I'd rather one from another country

Sounds like a good plan to me. So Hawke starts in Lothering around the time the Warden is passing through and finishes in Kirkwall 10 years later? The Warden met Isabela and her story continues in DA 2. Hawke's story could well intersect another character who turns up in DA 3 or 4.
Is there a rule that says another story can't start at the same time Hawke's does? Could be another story with the Warden that starts where he or she finished in Denerim, Amaranthine or Flemeth's hut for that matter. Or another character that interacts with Morrigan or Flemeth? You should know by now you can't trust these BioWare writers to be predictable.

Those who haven't gotten over it by now have likely left the forums or replaying Baldur's Gate 2/Dragon Age: Origins and will spend the rest of their lives playing it while the rest of the fans have moved on to see what else Thedas has to offer.

*considering the whole new blight theory*
not because i hate him, quite the opposite, i want him to be remembered as a hero, but felt as though origins wasn't his "time to go" so to speak.

Now i have to play some goofy looking kid with war paint and crazy eyes. Yay.
Honestly, just make it where people can access the world after they beat the game with origins..and i think the complaining might stop..Id like to strut through Denerim hearing "Omg is that the champion of Ferelden?" Yes...tis I
And there is nothing that suggests we wont play them again. Just not in DA2. It would be stupid to leave so much of a good storyline go to waste. DA3:The Calling. I could see it. one last adventure leading up to one last battle so i could go out with a bang in the deep roads. Wishful thinking. Duh. But saying that we wont play them ever again is ballsy and backed up with no facts.

I suppose im just a cry baby..But does anyone remember when RPGs were about building a character up from scratch and watching the world revolve around his action.

I agree with you about building your character from scratch and having the world revolve around you, and not being able to go back and do things in the game after the main story was over, well I thought it was kind of odd for an RPG.
I hope that in DA3 they continue the Morrigan story, but I have a bad feeling that DA will never go back to the way DAO was, they want the console market, and thats whats most important, so I doubt you will see the silent character that you build ever again in a DA game, its alot easier to just make the games with 1 male and 1 female voice and make it linear, than it is to make another DAO style of game unfortunately.

It's like this:
First we whine, moan and complain that we cannot play our Wardens anymore.
Then we gradually grow mature and actually start to like Hawke.
