it too small to probably see
I was joking, it does look a lot like Anders but I hope it isn`t him. In DA:A everytime he would make a joke or well talk at all I`d always think "Alistair wannabe" they`re just too much alike it`s weird.

After the first conversation with Anders, I thought King Maric had another baby mama somewhere.

And that he was thrown out of the castle for killing kittens by hugging 'em real tight?
Maric really got around.
In all seriousness, he did remind me of alistair all the way up to when he started talking. And I think its quite probable that Anders will be back because of Isabela.

I don't know, as much as I like Anders I'd love a new, unseen companion.

I hope it's someone new just for the sake of new content. I think the odd cameo of a past character is really cool but in no way do I want to get to know a character I already do, the only difference would be I'm no longer the Warden so it would just feel... the same.

Exactly. New not old and recycled Alistair redo. Thx.

One wonders how much one can change and what one can experience on his way from Amaranthine to the Free Marches.
And aren't you interested how Anders would react in the middle of a Templar X Mage conflict?
And aren't you interested in seeing if he'll get a Summon Demon Feline spell?

Which makes me hopeful that the man is not Anders but just another victim of computer faces looking like other computer faces
I liked him well enough in Awakening but I want new companions. And with Isabela and Merril another char returning would be a bit too much.

And with Isabela and Merril another char returning would be a bit too much.
Wouldn't that be a bit of exaggeration? Isabela and Merril had next to 0 character development.

Yes, that's why I don't mind them. We basically don't know anything about them aside the names being familiar from DAO. But I find it hard to believe that they would pick two familiar characters to develop further and then put in another familiar face that was already a companion. Half of the party would be familiar faces to DAO players so to speak.
I'd like a new char with different viewpoint and new info. After Awakening I didn't feel there was much left to explore with Anders.

No, they wouldn't. Merril, Isabela aren't familiar* and Anders wouldn't be the same person from before (something that can also be said about Merril and Isabela), specially Merril - depending on your Warden being or not being a Dalish.
*What do we know of them?
Merril is an apprentice Keeper.
Isabela is a pirate lady who inherited the ship from her Crow'd husband.
That's hardly anything to make anyone familiar.
AND that is all without even counting the future. How will Isabela, Anders or Merril handle the future events, of which we don't know much about? You talk as if that is predictable.

Urgh. Anders would have me really depressed. Probably the least interesting characteralng with Oghren. At least Oghren was useful as a tank even when his dialogue was boooooooooooooring
You baffle me, completely. Oghren not only made me laugh [Two different humors between you and me, i can understand that.] he also sent a chill down my spine. At the scene of Denerim, when you go fight the Archdemon, whether you take him or not. He makes the greatest speech I've heard in the game.
EDIT: Given the fact that he liked you on the scale. 80+ I'd say?
To get on topic: I'd be on the neutral about having Anders back. I do think he's incredibly awesome for escaping the Circle that much, and due to the fact that he HAS escaped the Circle that much, it makes me wonder about the Templar's efficiency.

I played the Dalish origin ONCE - didn't even know who Merrill was! And you can bypass Isabela altogether if you're not metagaming to get the duelist specialisation. I played DA:O spoiler free first time through and never saw either of them. And it's not as though you actually get any information about Isabela, aside from the fact that she's a pirate captain and used to have a thing with Zev - I'm really looking forward to going deeper into her character.
Much in the same vein, I never took Zevran to the Pearl (blame his inability to open locks) so I learned of Isabela's husband being Crow'd from the wiki. After 8 playthroughts.
Urgh. Anders would have me really depressed. Probably the least interesting characteralng with Oghren. At least Oghren was useful as a tank even when his dialogue was boooooooooooooring
