This is faulse he didn't die if you maid the vigil keep denfeces (fix the wall,give silver,verdium,iron to wade,clear the lower flours) and left him in the vigil it says the Anders travelled for a long time with a ship (Isabela's ship probablly)

As has been said several times before, the epilogues will be dealt with according to DG. So if he is a companion you can bet there'll be an explanation of why he didn't die at the keep. DG also said that epilogues are not sacrosanct.

Rogues: Isabela, Varric, Sebastian
Mages: Merrill, Bethany

We have fewer mages than anything else (and one of them is conditional) and no male mages.

RE: Matthias. I hope not. I'd hope he wasn't wandering around fighting and putting his life in danger when he's got a daughter to take care of. Plus if they made him an LI, that's another guy with baggage from a previous relationship to deal with. Goodie. <_<

Honestly, it'd be hilariously cruel if we found out this guy is just an NPC who's all dressed up because he has speaking lines, and the only reason he's behind our team is because we have to protect him from something or other...

On a side note, does any other costume in DA:O or DA:A have those black feather/fur shoulders on it? It seemed like an iconic Anders thing, that's the only reason I wanted to think it was him.

All the Tevinter robes have those fur bits on the shoulders. And the Chasind robe has furry bits. But none of the circle robes or warden robes do. And Anders is the only NPC who wears them when you first meet him, apart from the Tevinter slaver guys in the alienage.

I knew that the Chasind robes did, but they seemed to have teeth or claws in them as well, and they were in earthy hues, I thought maybe the black version was just something Anders wore but if it's just a normal part of the Tevinter robes, then there goes that theory.

Yes, if by some miracle it isn't Anders I suspect it might be a Tevinter mage, which would be a bit tension-causing if Fenris was in your party I'd imagine.

I will be disappointed if it is Anders. He was fun, esp with my female **** mage but I feel as though he was resolved and it is time to move on. Would be really cool if Connor was a possible companion so long as you didn't kill him since it takes place a few years later he'd be 15-17

Connor goes off to the Tevinter Imperium apparently. And a LOT of people kill him. He's much easier to kill than Anders is .

Connor would be twelve or so at the start of DA2, possessed for part of it, and a child for the vast majority of it. Since most people are thinking the mystery male mage will be a LI that really wouldn't work.

Really, the Isabela epilogue was SO bizarre and random. Not that he ran off and was never seen again, not that he ran off with someone met in Awakening... that he ran off with someone seen in only one small bit of Origins who wasn't even a character you HAD to encounter. Shoot, the only reason to even enter the Pearl was to complete three (well, two and a half) optional sidequests. And then she's suddenly a major character in DA2. And there's someone pictured in a screenshot who looks just like Anders?

I mean, it could be sketch after ear surgery, it could be finn wearing a wig, it could be ser bryant with a dye job going undercover as a mage... but occam's razor would really seem to apply perfectly here. The simplest explanation is most likely the correct one.

I just started playing Awakening, I know I know, about frickin' time! I have to say I would LOVE to have Anders as a companion in DA2, preferably romanceable as my Hawkette is most certainly a mage. ;P

Tee hee. I can't see him NOT being romanceable, considering. Anders' howls of rage would be heard as far as Tevinter if he was locked up for ten years with no fewer than FOUR hot chicks (if you're playing a female) and not getting any.

Its obviously Anders. He looks like Anders and there needs to be a spirit healer companion, there always is and Anders fits that spot. I don't get how he was redundant in DA:O Awakenings if you were playing a rogue or warrior, maybe if you were a spirit healer mage sure.

Of course, he's not making any 'iron-clad' guarantees for DA2 here but it's a glimmer of hope for Anders fans anyway

Operating under the assumption that the mage in the picture is Anders...I don't understand why we're all assuming that he'll be a permanent party member. (This isn't a full cast thing, Merilll isn't there, and there is a random guard in picture.) Gaider actually said not everyone in the screenshot were party members. Maybe he was only referring to the guard, maybe the character that looks like Seb isn't actually Seb...but I don't think this Anders like character is a party member at all.

We're all just silly.

It looks like him from afar but when I zoomed in it doesn't look like him at all...that guy doesn't have a funny looking face so I'm going to say its not him but I could wrong...I hope I'm wrong I would love Anders in my party

If thats how they will bring him back awesome! but it sounds like it'll take sometime to get him if he comes back

Same here but they might make a cannon story for him and they will put his ending as him leaving on the boat
