Since the writers have managed to prove that they're capable of writing well-crafted characters for any of Thedas' races, I'd be perfectly happy playing as any race. Though playing as a Qunari would be immense; Sten is the character it took me the longest to like, but I couldn't imagine the game without him now. And Oghren is a very strong contender for my favourite game character of all time.

I agree with the Human nobel. The character was rich, cocky and such a toss. Another reason why I didn't play as a human, I like playing Rogue or warrior. Maybe if there was a commoner option in Origins I would have considered it, especially if they were cockney :P

They origionally wanted to have a commoner, and/or a barbarian, origin, but alas this amazing option was cut.

I would of been very interested in the barbarian one. Well nothing says you have to be a toss whatever that might be.

While I'm guilty of having a human mage , I also had fun with my elven mage too...I also tried being a dwarf, for the story, but I guess its a combo between playing the game too much and me not being able to connect with her, but mostly because I've played the game too much. lol

I'll prob play an elf if da 3 allows for other races
