The PC is my favorite way to play ME and I boot camped my Macbook Pro to play ME2. But, I noticed all the DLC says pc/mac. Any chance I will see any of the ME games on the Mac gaming section of Steam? Pretty please....:D

Before Mass Effect can come to Mac, Epic Games needs to port their Unreal Engine to Mac. Take it up with them.

Also, Microsoft owns the publishing rights for Mass Effect 1. Mac users will probably never be able to play it on their computers.

True, but ME2 is out on the PS3. The pc dlc does say pc/MAC.

I'd get Mass Effect on the Mac. Heck, I'll get everything BioWare on the Mac. I already have Knights of the Old Republic and Dragon Age with it's DLC.

I do have Win7 Boot Camped.....I would just like to see the game world give Mac a little more love. Steam seems to be heading in that direction. It seems silly (but necessary) to have a Windows partition just to play games. Mac's are no longer just a trendy/graphic artist computer anymore.

Steam was one of the most unexpected surprises to happen last year. To this day, I get everything that Valve releases for the MAC. If only Knights of the Old Republic didn't have the sound dying every five minutes I load the game I'd be playing that more often.

Again, anything Mass Effect I'll purchase in a heartbeat. Even ME2 again!

Sorry dude/gal, but if you want to play games on a PC, I suggest you buy one with Windows on it.

Agreed. I will pre-order ME3 on Steam as well.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! THAT'S RICH!!!

See this is one place where the PC/Windows wins over Mac's

We can actually play games

As someone said before. The Unreal Engine does not support the Mac architecture

And honestly, how many even use Mac's for gaming? It's more of a multipurpose office tool and used by designers and such.

Better idea. Buy a PLAYSTATION 3. It Only Does Everything.

My assumption is that when you combine the ability to duel boot a Mac and it's smaller install base, it probably doesn't make it financially sound for a lot of companies to offer a Mac specific version. It makes sense for a company like Blizzard to offer a Windows and Mac version of their games because they only build for PCs where as Bioware is already developing for 3 platforms and probably doesn't want to add a 4th.

Except play Mass Effect 1.

What it does do though is give you a cheap interactive comic that has massive plot holes, and a game which came out nearly a year ago on other platforms.

Oh also, before you rage, I own a gaming laptop, an Xbox and a PS3. They're all good in different ways, and it's frustrating when people like you bring console wars to the forums.

On topic, your best bet is going for a Windows install. Mac games have only really become available recently on Steam because Valve is investing a lot in getting all of their games compatible. Like the other guys have said above me, Epic Games have made no attempt to make the Unreal Engine compatible... sorry man.

See I was being funny but your right. This could start a flamewar so I apologize.
I play both PC & PS3 btw. And I consider the PC version of ME 2 to be the best
The only compensation the PS3 gets is free Kasumi/Overlord/Lair and the bonus armors

-I know there is a Bioshock mac version and that runs on the Unreal Engine.
-I use my mac for Final Cut and CS4, but it games very well on the windows partition. Plays Crisis decent and both ME games with max res and effects with no stutter.

Have one. ME1 was the reason I bought a 360 (halo as well). I will support quality so I have purchased ME2 for the 360 as well. I can bring my mac to work and play, but you can't beat the experience on a big high def LCD.
