Siding with geth is bad idea. They will just keep growing, strip mining everything for resources to make more geth which in turn will make more geth. Eventually Geth will run out of space/resources and bam "consensus reached. exterminate organic life so we are able to advance further"
They show no agression just becuse its not logical for them to attack. It would gain them nothing. Geth dont have emotions, they act based on logic.Geth want to advance, eventually organics will be on their way even if we are at peace with them
Also I dont buy this "justified self defense" crap... Yeah killing billions of civilians is justified self defense. Kicking whole race away from their homeworld(especially when its pretty much only planet they can live normally on) is justified self defense... yeah right
If there was war between Geth and Quarians, would siding with the Quarians be the better option in the long run?

They are attempting to figure out what their purpose are, they are building a superstructure that will server as a supercomputer of sorts. Then they will upload all of their software into that structure.
(if organics have any trace of strategy, thats when they should nuke geth)
Once they accomplished it, they will have massive computing power and hopefully figure out the future of geth. I tell you, if EDI is useful, having that kind of AI as ally is 1000000 times more useful then any Quarians.
Also if we are to trust Legion on his words, Geth never wanted to harm organics, they just wish to be permitted to exist.

What gives a machine the right to exist? Because it fought against its master?

Yes exactly that reason, if something is trying to kill you then you have the right to kill it back, both have the right to exist, one just wants it moreRamirez Wolfen wrote...

Havent we been over this before?
Ah right, you are the new guy.
Let me breake this for you. If your mother gave life to you, she cannot claim that life back.
Now think over what foolishness you was saying, if Quarians gave life to Geth, do they have the right to claim that life?
If you gave a second chance to Rachni, do you have the right to claim their life?
And expect them not to object?

Hello Mr.New guy?
Go youtube and search Legion dialouges 4 and 5.
Short, Geth are preserving Quarians homeworld for return of Creator race and have done so for 300 years.

one not a new guy, two i was saying they could destroy it if the war actual happens, doesn't matter that they have been taking care of the world, the geth could reach the consenus that since the war is only happening because of the planet, no planet = no warZing Freelancer wrote...

Not really. Defying someone doesn't give you a right. If a student defied the rules of his school and beat up another student, does that mean that because he defied the rules, he is now allowed to beat any student he wishes?

I apologize, didnt meant to insult. But I will make an assumption that Geth would not let Quarian planet get destroyed. There is no geth logic behind it, especially if we take in consideration the fact they've been caretakers of said planet for many many years.

Well, it might be hard to accept. But yes, he has the right and opportunity to beat-up who ever he desire. Until someone else comes and punishes him.

1) I'm not new
2) Let's be polite. I'm not being "foolish." I'm stating my opinion.
3) That's because of laws that a mother cannot take the life of her child back (as sick as that sounds)
4) Yes
5) The Rachni weren't Shepard's creation.

Defiance does prove will and independent thought. In my book that is enough to prove life, though not enough on its own to prove sentience.

Independent thought doesn't matter when you are a machine created for a purpose.
