No. Why? Release date control for PC versions of the game. After getting hoodwinked on Dead Space 2, I will just wait until mid-day tuesday.

I really would want to. Especially since they practically know me at my local gamestop since I show up to a lot of different midnight releases. But I ordered online this time D:

I surely am. But my fiancee' has insisted I have to bring a friend. So I called up a good friend of mine and we're going to make a party out of it. :)

Now, why would I do that when I can order it online and have it mailed to me on release day?

Midnight releases. Pft. You're crazy people.

Hmm.. on the 11th for me. So no. I'm fairly sure I can wait until 9am when it's normally open.

Savoring the wait like a raccoon with stolen catfood. Not really a fan of midnight releases, always get stuck between 'sweaty guy #6' and 'teen who didn't know women play games #8'. Plus y'know, work in the morning :P

Seconding this. Amazon is pretty punctual so I should have it in the morning. I don't think half a day will kill me.

Well as I have steam the answer is no :P

I'll likely have it prior to the release date.

Not in the correct country so no.

But I will get it the day before release, due to the nature of pre-ordering with Game online.

I'm not that driven to go out and stand in line in sub-zero wind chills at midnight just to pick up a pre-paid game at a store... I'll simply pick it up after work.

I'm not certain if my local Gamestop is doing it, but even if they are, I won't be going. It's not an issue of lack of desire, but inability. I have an early class on Tuesday and a quiz scheduled for March 8th, so I wouldn't have time to go to the midnight release and still get enough sleep for class.

However, since it's my only class of the day and it's finished just past 10:00 a.m., I plan on heading straight to the store to pick up my copy right after I'm done.

I will if my Gamestop holds one. The thing with midnight releases, is they only take place if a single version of the game gets at least 50 preorders. I'm not sure DA2 is going to be popular enough at my Gamestop to warrant the release. We have way more FPS fans than RPG fans, and while I was working there, it was a tough sell to get preorders on anything that didn't have Halo or COD in the title.

Nah. If I went and did that, I'd be so tired by the time I got home and finished installing it that I'd just sleep until Gamestop was open the next day. When I could just pick it up normally.

Also, I'd be mocked by my wife. And rightfully so. Posted Image

I only went to one midnight release at Gamestop and once I got home, installed the game, and played for 15 minutes, I decided to go to sleep. I woke up the next day when Gamestop was usually open and so decided it was pointless to bother with in the future and haven't bothered since.

Nowadays, I go with digital distribution methods (mostly steam) mostly to stop having to carry so many CDs, game manuals, etc.
