If my Gamestop does it, then yes, I will. Otherwise I plan to be at the mall when the place opens.
Any one going to Gamestop for midnight pick up?

Already have it pre-ordered on Amazon. Should probably get it on the afternoon of March 8th. I don't like to wait out in the cold for a game at midnight, lol.

I'll be doing the same...but likely will just get my behind up at 10am in the morning n go pick it up from the mall(if I don't have to work that day)....

That would actually work really well for me since I get out of work at 11:30. Unfortunately, my gamestop is in a mall which will be locked until 10am.

Yeah I was thinking about it, but then I remembered it could still be insanely cold outside. If it is I'll likely pass.Selene Moonsong wrote...
I'm not that driven to go out and stand in line in sub-zero wind chills at midnight just to pick up a pre-paid game at a store... I'll simply pick it up after work.

Mine does the same. I always go to the 12 am releases. Last one was AC Brotherhood, which I figured would have the store packed. There was barely anyone there. I have yet to wait outside. The creepiest one was in the mall for FF12. I switched to a Gamestop up the road after that. They had a midnight release for Awakening so they should do this one, too. Though God of War was released that same night.

No, thank Maker for digital distribution.
This. Gone are the days where I travel to the store to get pre-paid games on release day.

not a chance gone are the days I was so desperate to queue up at midnight for a game, besides the fact that the manger of my local store will pop round and deliver it either earlier in the evening or the next day, one of the perks of buying from the same store for 15 years we became good friends and have gaming sessions often.. now if only I can persuade him that DA is so much more than lego batman

Its my spring break when DAII comes out, and I will be at home doing nothing...so why the hell not.

Question:
Just how exactly do I find out if they do this? The Gamestop here in Bonn is a rather tiny settlement so I don't actually count on it, but would be nice to find out anyway.
Thanks

If they really do it, I might just think of it being worthwhile. Will be a spontanous decision in the end, but hey, if I feel like it, why not.

When I saw the ad on the main site about all of the goodies included with the signature edition, and the fast-approaching deadline, I pre-ordered. So, I'll be getting my DA2 SE in the mail; no midnight pickup for me.

If my local Gamestop is holding a midnight release, then yes, I will be there.

If there is one I will be there, I took the next day off work so....it's a no brainer to pick it up and game all night. Plus I can borrow the car at night, if I pick it up in the morning I'm walking 45mins to go pick it up. Ontario Winters suck I'll freakin drive if I can.

I'll be up at midnight, and the Gamestop I reserved from is literally 3 minutes from my house. So yeah, I'll be there at midnight.

I don't know. I've never gone to a midnight release of a video game before. And the guys in Gamestop always look at me funny, like I'm there buying games for someone else and don't know what I'm talking about... they make me paranoid for some reason.
It IS only a minute up the road, though. And while I won't actually play it that night, that way the game will be ready and waiting for me when I get up the next day. EEEEEEEEEK I'm excited!

I want to pick it up at midnight just to get the DLC downloaded.... that may take a day in itself with all the stuff they are giving us.
