I can only suggest one thing you say...

Then I would have to say...

Change everything back to how it was in ME1. ( But with all the tweaks that were needed. i,e, item stacking and quantity sliders. )  :o

^ That pretty much sums up what I was going to say.

^^ Very close second for me.

My one thing to change - Focus the story more on Shepard.

For me, I would want to want to change the paragon and renegade persuasions back into a  skill you invest points into like it was in ME1. The system in ME2 punishes not being ether all renegade or all paragon in the choices they make.

This is something I NEVER want to see to happen, so I ques I pick that you pick never happen. Don't get me wrong, I support improving the system so that it's not just paragon/renegade, but I do NEVER wanna see persuation skill system again. Reason is that while persuation skill system opens more freedom, it's also weaken hole dialog system as having consequences of choises. Persuation allows you to bypass dialog choises consequences to get the better end result.

I would develop multiple endings (as in other rpg games, including BW's). I'd like to see a warm-n-fuzzy, reflective ending; a renegade, new authoritarian ending; and even a sacrificing one, wherein Shepard completes this epic tale by dying to save the crewmates, Earth, and/or galaxy.

Pretty much this.  I trust the dev team to handle the rest well enough on their own.

I also agree. Half the point of ME2 was recruiting a team of specialists, it would be a waste to get rid of them all.

Less squadmates, like ME1. However, far more character development and dialogues for them, with a friendship/rivalry system like in DA2. No calibrations.

Garrus had basically the same amount of dialogue in ME2 as he did in ME1. It's just he has something to say after each planet mission. There are only five planets in ME1, and about 23 in ME2, so it seems like he had less dialogue.

As for the OP, I'd replace the Soldier's Adrenaline Rush with a Tech Armor-like ability to cut down on the whining about the class. I'd also make ALL powers either Tech or Biotic, so "Combat" squaddies aren't left out on duration/cooldown/damage upgrades.

Also, power damage bonuses would be additive with Ammo Powers, rather than multiplicative. For instance, if you have +5% power damage, Inferno Ammo would do +65% damage as damage over time instead of +60%.

Also, Concussive Shot becomes Carnage, has a longer cooldown, and does significantly more damage.

I would add in-game developer commentaries.

I actually don't care if its a skill you invest points in or not I just don't want to see them use ME2's system. How does it make sense that if you think its okay to throw mercenaries out windows but not okay to let civilians die right in front of you then you then you are less persuasive then someone who would kill them both or someone who would let both live? I'm all for decisions having consequences but that system just encourages you to ether pick all paragon or all renegade. And when you commit to picking all paragon or all renegade just to better level up your persuasiveness then you're defeating the purpose of having choices in the first place.

No planet scanning, a decent PC version, and an inventory.

Yes that's one thing.:)

A nice ''Between two [ME1 and ME2]'' RPG element.

that include :

-Weapons upgrades, not weaponry.

-Armory system for every characters.

-Moar powers and cooldown for each of 'em.

-Health Points.

-Overheat, but with a spec allowing you to stop overheat using a thermal clip.

This.

Since the story doesn't have to be carried forward, it would be great to have several endings.  Personally, I definitely would not want my Shepard to be forced to sacrifice himself to save the galaxy, (like he was forced to aid Cerberus!!) but, to have the option would certainly be reasonable...

I'd make it more like an RPG. Better inventory, personalities, and more emphasis on stats, than the FPS it is becoming.

Here we go...
Anyway, it should be TPS, not FPS, seeing as it is, you know, not in first person.

Make the game more like ME 1 and LotSB, and less like the main game of ME 2.

I would bring back squad armor (incl. full & toggleable helmets) for missions, while keeping the casual outfits for on board the Normandy.

This.

Edit: And all squad mates + waaaaay more dialog;)

I would come into the office and say: Add a Volus character on the Normandy! And get me Stanley Woo to voice it! And where is my coffee!?

If I could make one decision in the development process it would be making sure Drew Karpyshyn is actually involved in the writing of ME3.

Second that. Do not bother with Multiplayer.

They are superb without the need for screaming young noobs, running around grenade launching each other.

Stick to the traditional, and put back missing things from ME1.

Or perhaps, the ability to see other people playing and where they are at. Like Fable 2. You could be strolling around the citadel, and other people are also strolling around. You could strike up conversations with them, Exchange armour, Weapons, Bio Tech. Or just chat about current missions, or even help on side quests, like a full blown Co-op specific missions. Frequent new Co-op misions.

Keep the art direction of ME2.

And as far as bringing back squadmates goes, I'd rather have less squadmates that have a greater impact on the story.

Here, here. Agreed.
But if we had a squad literally twenty strong (assuming there would be some new additions) It would be cool to send some of them on missions without Shep, a la the last segment of ME2. Then when you regroup, you can have goup debriefings like in ME1.
Sending natural born leaders to head up a mission (like Garrus) would net you better story developments. Whereas sending say, Zaeed would get a "...so I shot him in his guddamn face."
In different playthroughs, you could opt to head up missions you didn't handle personally, giving the game an obscene amount of replayability.

I would play this game so hard.

A more serious and immersive approach to the universe again, as opposed to the less believable comic style, hollywood action movie logic in ME2.

This includes more hostile (and less populated)and more open alien planets, practical, yet sexy armor+helmets for missions in hazardous environments (like in ME1) and a technology for weapons ammunition that is not going back to WW1 standards.
