Electronic / orchestral music goes well with the sf theme.

Anyhow, It's a stupid idea to have any mainstream band play in the credits, voice over or whatever. Let's just directly ask EA to start burning money instead of pumping it in quality games.

I'm assuming he means the first single from Tool's fourth album....

Also not suited to ME in my opinion. Just keep the music as iy has been in the first two games, it suits the games perfectly and does not need MORE rock music, just because the op likes it.

I'd like to hear something other than techno. I like it, but I want to see that the WHOLE galaxy isn't filled with only techno music.

I'm laughing pretty hard as well...
I have spent a large part of my Life studying Acting and being an actor, being a Musician doesn't qualify you to do Voice Acting...
I wouldn't be very much interested in a Mark Meer/Jennifer Hale Album either...
Also...I don't know how old you are, but I happened to be living in Los Angeles when Nirvana broke big with "Nevermind"... I was lucky enough to see them play live in Clubs out there before they got big & they ROCKED!
Personally, I prefered Jane's Addiction but that doesn't take away anything from Nirvana.
And why can't you spell "musician" correctly?

And, why would you think this?  The only places that I can remember that have actual music playing in game are the bars and night clubs

I'm not saying it right. I want to hear something other than techno on the soundtrack. Maybe some rock music in one of the clubs or something.

And since that's all we hear and considereing the time period (techno + space = natural combination that's used too many times), to some it may give off an impression that that's all there is.

I don't see how it's a fail. He got most of it right, and we all got the point.

I really have a hard time comprehending how some people could think that though.  A soundtrack's purpose is to help create mood, atmosphere, style.  Having a jumble of different styles like techno, rock, what-have-you would really hinder a soundtracks intended purpose because its simply not consistent.  Frankly, I would find it immersion killing.  Going onto some planet where they have a rock song for the soundtrack?  I would be thinking, why the hell is there a rock song playing right now.

You could say the same with "Why are they playing a techno song right now?"

Well think about this man...
The third game is going to earth,so that actualy makes alot of room for some rock without any "immersion killing" after effects..
