You don't think there is a difference between music that is being played in-game and can be heard by your character and all of the other NPCs and music that is purely to enhance a scene/character/location's mood/atomosphere, etc? Yea.... ok

There is a difference between the two though. In afterlife and those other clubs, Technoish music was being played because that was what you'd expect to hear playing in that kind of environment. If we went to a dingy bar on earth and techno music was playing on a jute box or a live band was performing, I would have a problem with it, since I would expect rock music playing in that situation.
What I don't want to hear is rock music playing during a cutscene showing the normady flying to the last epic battle since its just completely inconsistent with the rest of the series soundract, and the overall atmosphere/mood/tone that they were trying to create
