The only place rock music should be an option is in Shepard's quarters when you select the music. It would be cool if you could customize that a bit, but also pointless. And since this is just my opinion it is probably wrong and doesn't matter.

Actually, none of our opinions matter. We (as humans) just like voicing ours.

Yea druss & Brown need to stop these foolish games now!

Your right it doesn't matter. But thats an interesting idea letting you play music from your HD in Shepards quarters, it wouldn't interfere with the rest of the game atleast. It would be one of those things thats pointless but there if you want it. If they are going to keep the cabin feature then I'd rather it let you cycle between all the ingame music that you had heard up until that point. I was really disapointed when I couldn't play Vigil, it seemed to be mostly combat style music instead of relaxing stuff which seemed an odd choice for the cabin.

Also we need to stop playing our foolish games. They are just too foolish.

I don't see putting rock music in ME3 as pointless. It may attract potential buyers. I know some people who refuse to buy it because they say that Mass Effect has a "lame, nerdy soundtrack and it reminds them too much of Star Trek." Maybe if there was some rock music, which some find to be better than techno, would buy it just because it may not seem to be too "nerdy." Of course this is just my take on this and disagree if you wish, but please be respectful when doing so. We are all capable of not resorting to insults and wise guyness (I've gotten a lot of that today so that's why I mentioned this).

I agree with all of this including our foolish games.  I'll stop now.

To be honest though adding rock music probably won't stop it from reminding them of Star Trek. They won't change the entire soundtrack to rock, it would just be in there somewhere. The first thing they will hear will still be the original soundtrack and the game itself will still remind them of Star Trek if thats how it started out. Would you play a 40 hour game just to hear maybe 10 minutes of rock? I get what your saying but in the long run it wouldn't change much unless they changed the entire soundtrack and that would alienate the established fan base.

You are honestly telling me that you know people who refused to by a game because they thought the game had a nerdy soundtrack?  That is the stupidest reason I've heard not to play a game.  Seriously who buys a game for the music unless it's like Guitar Hero or something.  To each his own I guess.

To be fair, the music played by the town bards in Sacred II is so awful that it's responsible for several mass killings, the downfall of civilsation in three east European countries and a small fire in a bakery in Solihull.  So it's not as far-fetched as it sounds.

CCR should be in ME3. More specifically Fortunate Son should be in ME3. Or Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix. Wait isn't that what, whats her face, dead Asari, called Liara?

Or any Beatles song.

I don't think it's a bad idea, Jack Wall has done an IMPRESSIVE job with ME and 2. If you wanna experience rock music in sci-fi, play halo 2.

What?

They're Canadians, and therefore compulsory for inclusion.  I just hope that doesn't extend to Alanis Morrissette because that would like be totally ironic.

As for me, I think the Bay City Rollers should do the entire soundtrack.

There won't and probably shouldn't be any rock music in ME3. It's the future and the techno music has completely taken over. For a soundtrack, orchestra's are SO better, they are written to suit the drama in that scene. If i wanna listen to something else I just use the music play over on my xbox 360.

I quite like the idea of an orchestra using those small Casio keyboards, kazoos and Stylophones.  It would be awesome.

A bit.

At first I read that as xylophones (stylophones are pretty neat too though), and now I only want Sir Patrick Moore to do the ME3 soundtrack.

I'm so glad you linked to that: it made my day! :)

Er anyway, yes, I quite agree.  It *must* be the ME3 soundtrack and I shall be rather cross with Bioware if it doesn't happen.  I may be so cross that I won't take the polite option of blaming EA instead.

I second that motion. This is possibly the greatest thing I've ever seen or heard and I've watched alot of Walker Texas Ranger. You can just imagine it being played in that nightclub on the citadel where Shepard can dance. Makes me want them to bring back Gamesmaster in all its awfulness too.

For ME - if it's not 80's/00's techno orchestral electronic mix, then it's a fail.

People can dream, can they? BTW I'm don't think this topic means replacing ALL of the music in ME just ADDING it, you know? That's something I'd like to see.

So far the music has been awesome I would like more of the same but a little more rock would upset me I like the credit music at the end of Mass Effect 1. I listen to it frequently.
