You might have heard about a Dragon Age 2 demo somehow. BioWare officially announced the existence of said demo for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with a launch date starting February 22. Specific dates for specific platforms weren't mentioned, but we can assume that it'll hit PSN on that date, because it's a Tuesday.
Players will get the opportunity to choose one of three character classes and explore the new location of Kirkwall for the first time, where they will meet Isabela, one of the new love interests for Hawke. They'll also get to meet Hayder's Razor, a dwarven blade that boosts health, mana and "combat abilities." This blade is the demo's parting gift to you, usable in the full game.
So, it wont be the demo from E3.

Says that the player will go through the prologue in there. So it probably will be.

The weapon: "Requires Internet connection, EA account, ownership of Dragon Age II and completion of Product Demo", so I would take that as a yes

As I understand it, it will be the E3 demo and more. You'll still play the beginning buy you will also play during the first year at Kirkwall.Purple People Eater wrote...

Yes, most likely. It may also automatically log you in, I've noticed some EA games recently have been doing that.Mick301981 wrote...

The Fallout games have always been buggy. As I remember it, Fallout 2 was impossible to finnish without a patch. And Fallout 1 and 3 hade also its problems as did New Vegas. It comes with big games that have lots of freedom.Silver Direwolf wrote...
I pretty sure the whole Fallout reference was indicating that the game itself wasn't finished or it was buggy or something, as a very very very humourous jest.

99% of demo's are, and they should be. But there's always the 1% the befuddles the universe as to why they are not.

The only one I know of was Dead Rising 2: Case 0 but that was a uniqe demo where you got to play a pre-quel part that wasn't in the finnished game and you could transfer itrems and levels to the finnished game. I like thoes thing. I would have payed for a pre-quel demo for Dragon Age II.Bryy_Miller wrote...

But I would not pay for a demo that was going to be in the game anyway. Like with original Doom and some other games from that time.

As I stated in the locked thread. I won't be upset if it doesn't work that way, I consider this demo as a nice bonus, just curious how it will work.
thanks

So can we import saves into the demo?
ya know, I totally forgot about the importing of DA1 saves thing, I won't blame Bioware at all if they make this a stand alone thing, rather than mess with all those headaches for a demo. I'm not the Warden anymore, so really never cared much about the save imports, totally forgot about it.
