I think being able to import saves/uses the character creator and continue in the main campaign once the actual game comes out....might be asking a lot but would be awesome. I would likely spend the time between the demo release and actual game release setting up playthroughs....oh Bioware how you own my soul.

This is a question that's been asked a few times on this thread. I can't see why Bioware would withold this information from us, yet they do.

Yet enough people signed up for the Beta that it briefly overwhelmed their servers/expectations.  I think it's safe to say yet again that our forum is simply a collection of particular interest groups and not necessarily representative of Bioware's customer base as a whole.

1 - Can we import from Origins into this demo?
The demo does not have a character or save game import feature.

No. While you can modify your character in the main game, this is disabled in the demo
[/list]3 - Does the demo allow you to just start the full version of DA2 from where the demo leaves off?
No.
The demo begins with the beginning of Dragon Age II and then shows you a
glimpse of a mission that occurs later on in the game.
[/list]4 - Will it show off DX11 effects on the PC?
DX11 features will only be available on the PC purchase copy of Dragon Age 2.
[/list]5 - Can we play Male and Female Hawke?
Yes you can choose male or female Hawke.
[/list]6 - How do I get the demo for my Xbox 360 or my PS3?
The xbox 360 demo will be available through Live. The PS3 demo will be available through Playstation Network.[/list]

i wouldn't be surprised if DA legends makes enough money that it would actually help to substantially increase the next main dragon age game's budget.

Ah....29th February for me then, since I expect it'll be gold only for a week (Xbox 360).
Still it'll nice to have a go before the main game arrives ......minus the sword and shield DLC I was promised.

Thanks Chris! Now I don't know if I want to spoil a mission that occurs later in the game. Maybe I'll skip the demo. I've preordered the game anyway.

i wonder if they could make a dev diary that is mostly about the character creator and it's improvements.
i really want to see it.

Thanks Chris, pretty much what I expected apart from the Character creator which is missing from the demo.

Bad move with the removal of the character creator from the demo. People are gonna think there's no character creator in the full game too

No character editor ? Pass...than again the demo probably wasn't for me anyhow (seeing as I'm already going to buy the game).

This would be solved by an exit-game splash screen that says in the full version, you can create your own character.  Which we don't know it has, but wouldn't shock me if it did.

Anyway, the demo provides players the opportunity to see if the gameplay is for them.  Which is the source of the majority of head scratching and teeth-gnawing 'round these parts.  Don't see how a pre-release demo, something Bioware isn't exactly known for, can't be viewed as a good thing.

Of course it's a good thing. But considering the character creator is what I was most excited to see personally, this demo isn't exactly something to be overexcited for.
